Dr. Judith Marie Brinkman, MD

The day after I found out I was pregnant, I immediately contacted my OBGYN's office, Judith Brinkman, to let them know I was pregnant, that it was very high risk, and that I should be referred to a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist right away. I left the message with her front office staff, who basically told me that there was nothing they could do for me and that I wouldn't even be able to see her until I was closer to 12 weeks pregnant. They had me scheduled for two months later for my first appointment, which would put me at 13 weeks. I kept insisting about seeing the specialist and was told the referral would be put in, but every time I called the specialist, they told me they didn't receive a referral. A few weeks later, I thought I miscarried because I was bleeding so badly with clotting. I called the doctor's office and informed them of the heavy bleeding and possible miscarriage. Again, they never had me come in for a check up, but instead had me do labs and an ultrasound. A… few days later, I was told that I had subchroinic hemorrhaging and that the baby was fine and had a strong heartbeart. I continuously bled for a total of 40 days all the way up to the actual miscarriage. During the entire time, I constantly called and was told that I was fine and not to worry so much. What I needed was to see a specialist which could've saved my baby, but this office did not care at all and had no sense of urgency and basically kept blowing me off. During that second round of heavy bleeding, which led to the miscarriage a few days later, I called Brinkman's office to let them know I was bleeding a lot and needed to be seen immediately and to check on that referral status. The front office staff said they would inform her to call me ASAP. They never called... even still to this day, a week later, no phone call. I lost the baby at exactly 10 weeks old. My husband and I saw the baby; He picked it up which I'll never be able to get that image out of my head. It was fully formed, had its full body and eyes. This doctor's office did absolutely nothing to help me with my high risk pregnancy. I repeatedly called to get that referral to the specialist, but there was always an excuse after excuse... that the were so busy because of another doctor being out and Brinkman taking over those patients..even when it was noted that I needed a call back immediately, I wouldn't get one. This office needs better organization skills and prioritize seeing high risk patients immediately. I would not recommend this office at all for the sake of your health and your baby.

She is easy to talk to and actually shows concern for your well being. I've used her for the delivery of my first child and I plan to use her for the delivery of my second child.

She is by far the best doctor I have ever had she has deliverd all 3 of my children over the last 9 years.. she is thoughtful and always walks through all the steps with you. I would highly recommend her.

10 years ago I was diagnosed with a pre-cancerous condition....I was a newly wed and we had plans to have a baby. She was very cautious with treatment, which enabled me to get pregnant! I now have a beautiful son. I was terrified of the diagnosis and of the idea of never having a child...she told me not to worry, she was there for that! Thanks for having the best bedside manner. She is incredible!!

Dr. Brinkman is the BEST! She has seen me through several tough issues and found the problem others had missed because they would not listen!
