Dr. Judson Kent Menefee, MD

Wish every doctor is as professional and personal as Dr Manafee!

Dr. Menefee is an excellent endocrinologist. He listens to his patients and helps them solve problems with him. I first met him when he was volunteering at a clinic in Baldwin county. When I finally got insurance I was able to see him at his practice in Mobile. Yes, he drives all the way to Robertsdale from west Mobile to volunteer. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about Dr.Menefee.

He was so rude to me and my mom. I asked him about something I had seen on the Internet and his response was “ I could write about poop and you would probably read that on the Internet too” We got up and walked out. I didn’t let him see me cry Run away as fast as you can from his man

Dr. Menefee is condescending, dismissive and rude. He insisted my symptoms were from "getting old" and just quitting smoking. I am 30 years old and quit smoking over 3 years ago. His office staff confused me with two other patients on two separate occasions. They also incorrectly billed me and my insurance company twice. Dr. Menefee insisted there was "nothing wrong with me" and suggested I try the Mayo Clinic in Chicago. I have since been diagnosed with thyroid disease, no thanks to Dr. Menefee

Seems to have lost the care of a doctor. He had to leave Fairhope and since this he has not been very good at all. He seems to be in a daze as he talks to you.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE! Bashed my family doctor and when I asked him about something, he did not let me finish my sentence and told me "Thats a bunch of HOGWASH" ! I will never subject myself to his abuse again.

He was polite and was good to see me on short notice. But he sticks to the old school party line - if he didn't learn it when he was in medical school 40 years ago then it doesn't exist. He "doesn't believe in chronic fatigue syndrome" for example. he also considers that if your lab tests are anywhere with in the "normal reference range" then there is no chance anything anything could possibly be abnormal or wrong. even even if the range is 2.5 - 8.1, if yours is 8.1 then you have no excuse to be having symptoms. in fact I was told that my symptoms were "not really symptoms" that they were rather depression (all in my head). Which was appropriate since I have a brain tumor.

this doctor has a serious "God complex". I left his office in tears.Baldwin county REALLY needs another endo !

Very disappointed. I feel like he heard me but he wasn't actually listening. I still went back for a follow up, providing a second chance to find out what's causing my problem that I was referred there for, however I left just as disappointed as I was the first time. Baldwin county needs more endocrinologists to choose from. I'll probably drive back to Mobile and find one at Providence where I worked for 7 years. I never have to wait long to see this physician. He is responsive to my questions and has a caring attitude. I only go there once a year for my annual checkup.
