Dr. Justin Thomas Kessler, MD

He was very insensitive to my pain. He released me from the ER at HFHS with a pain level of 7.5. He also wrote a incomplete diagnoses as part of my patient record. Avoid at all costs.

Today I took my husband to West Bloomfield Henry Ford Emergency room and I faced the dilemma of Dr. Kessler's bad attitude. My husband's blood pressure was 188/95. After 3 hrs of waiting for when we finally moved into the room and finally Mr. Kessler came, he turned to be the be a rudest ER physician. Earlier I thought he is PA. He got very offensive when I asked him about the EKG to show me because would like to discuss it with my brother who is a cardiologist. Even he gave him Norvasc as emergency medication. I am not sure where he learned to given Norvasc. This attitude kind of physician needs to fire from the hospital because they do not carry any empathy and sympathy for the patient especially the patient who is coming in the emergency room. I hope and pray no one will see him again.

Was very short and snippy with my mom. accused me of recording our conversation when my sister, who is out of town, wanted to ask him a question. What a weirdo.

Dr. Kessler was short and disinterested. Making snippy comments about being busy and not having time to look at my dad's patient record. My dad had just been realeased from HFWB the day prior and had to come back to the ER. Very disappointed in his lack of patient care.

Dr. Kessler never came in to see me until I complained about the timeline it was taking to have the ENT doctor arrive to diagnose my tonsillar abscess. He told me she was on her way and was just down the road. 2 hours later and she finally arrived. He also told me that this could be a sign of cancer and I need to be patient. HE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO EXAM ME! Kessler sent his PA - Candice Berg is. She was very nice and assisted me. HE DID NOTHING AND NEVER EVEN ASKED HOW I WAS DOING! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Very short attitude and unprofessional

I came into emergency for a migraine (that have been severe since brain surgery two years ago). He treated me with oral Benadryl and a shot I can get at my doctors. Shoddy care, walked out while I was trying to talk to him. Rude and unprofessional. Very poor experience.

I went with my husband to Henry Ford West Bloomfield emergency last night. Dr Kessler's care was excellent. His manner is low-key and inspires confidence in him. He knew exactly what to do, treated my husband, and we were on our way in a relatively short time. (I was at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital emergency with the same problem a few months ago. I was not given the latest treatment, the doctor struggled to help me, and we were there for hours and hours.)
