Dr. Justo Maqueira, MD

Dr Maqueira and his team took excellent care of me! My PCM sent me for a routine check-up and I was to Dr M for follow-up to assess how a previous sacrocolpopexy/hysterectomy was holding up. He easily identified that my prior surgery (with a Dr in NC) had failed, and got me scheduled for surgery. Through complications with my insurance provider and questions about recovery, Dr M and his team ensured that I was informed and well taken care of. My surgery was complex, due to existing mesh, but Dr M is an expert in his field and I am looking forward to returning to a “normal” that is better than I have experienced in over a decade. I especially want to thank Casey for going above and beyond for dealing with TRICARE and for communicating with me outside of business hours.

Dr. Maqueira is THE BEST OBGYN in Bay county, hands down. I was stupid to shy away from male OB, never will go to female now. Dr. Maqueira performed my LEEP procedure and I can't even begin to say how gifted he is. Gentle, skilled hands made a world of difference in healing afterwards. He is VERY knowledgeable in his field, always takes time to answer my questions and address my concerns. Unlike some other docs, he doesn't dilute the answers, leaving you guessing and unsure if you got your question answered. He speaks to the point and makes everything clear. His nurses are sweethearts and held my hand and tried their best to ease my worries before the surgery. Amazing professional doctor, very caring, kind staff. I'll will never leave him.

Dr. Maqueira was wonderful with me, he took his time with me and was not afraid to work with me and finally to the right thing for me. I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs OB/GYN care.

This doctor saved my child's life! How many doctors come into the hospital at 2AM when the patient is not in true labor? Thank God for good nurses and doctors! This was my first pregnancy and I was not sure exactly when to go to the hospital. I went into the hospital in the early part of labor on a Sunday night at 10PM. The nurses hooked me up to the fetal monitor and continued to check on baby. By 11 PM. They had determined that I was in labor and they went ahead and admitted me. By 1 AM the nurse called the doctor in to check on the baby because my baby's heart rate was decreasing. Within minutes of the doctor checking on my baby, we were having an emergency c-section. The baby's cord was cutting off his oxygen supply. My baby was fine, but had we waited, his life would have been in serious danger. Needless to say, I love this doctor!

Dr. Justo Maqueira came highly recommended by a friend of mine who was having infertility problems. Within one month she was diagnosed and pregnant with her first child. He has given me my diagnosis and immediately started me on the path to pregnancy!!! He is excellent...caring and takes time to answer any and all questions.
