Dr. Kara Ann Dwight, DO

Very poor service. This Dr. did not understand anything about menopause . She was loud commanding and did not listen to my concerns. I wouldn’t let her treat any living that I have. She’s a prescription pusher and if you refuse, the appointment is OVER. Appalling for her to be in our community

I love Dr Dwight, she is always very straight forward and kind. She took the extra time to check in on my emotional well being as well as my physical well being. I would highly recommend her and her colleagues at the Women's Center in Machias. I highly trust all of their opinions.

This is a VERY INCOMPETENT "doctor"! She told my sister that the reason her chest hurts so much was because she smokes and when my sister told her of the pain she was having all over she brushed it off and rushed her out of her appointment in 10 minutes. Two days later my sister is fighting for her life in Bangor on life support because the infection from her chest has spread so bad which would have been caught sooner by a doctor that actually knew what they were doing and not treating their patients like they're not worth her precious time!

Dr Dwight is without a doubt one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. From my annual check-ups to special treatments with infertility, cysts, and care through early pregnancy and post higher order multiples, Dr Dwight has been not only my doctor who I have come to rely on for honest, forthright treatment and dialogue; but the person I know will always speak the truth. She is an excellent listener and has a splendid bedside manner, laughing, crying, empathizing right along with her patients. There is no doctor I'd rather see; I wish she was a general family practitioner so she could manage the well being of my entire family.

We just moved here and I have a ton of medical issues. I have MS, uterine pain, cervical dysplasia..could go on and on. I found Dr Dwight to be incrediblly sensitive, funny and caring, which are rare attributes in any Dr these days. My health relapses and cognitive issues make me very bad with numbers and I came in on the wrong day for my first appt, the secretary was very sweet and got me right in. I think I only waited at the most five minutes. She spent about an hour with me, encourages and is educated about holistic healing, which is a plus in my book. I am not understanding the inability to get through to a someone or have calls returned. I have had to reschedule appts due to health and have always recieved a prompt call back, a sympathetic ear. Perhaps the person above was not recieving pain medication, as there assessment seems quite spiteful. Form your own opinions. She is the OBGYN I have ever liked. Great bedside manner, not any woman's favorite place to go but she makes you… feel very comfortable. A shame someone would go out of there way to say something so nasty about such a nice Dr.

I do not know if my complaint is levied against Dr. Dwight, or her secretary. I have called several times, and my calls are never returned. I explained that I am in pain, but had to talk to an answering machine, because the secretary never picks up the phone.
