Dr. Kara Louise Parker, MD

I'm a 58-year old white cisgender woman. Kara has been my primary care doc for 10 years. She is remarkably attentive, responsive, and kind. She is a thorough clinician with a willingness to consider a range of possibilities to help you. I've had a series of problems related to a chronic condition, and Kara is one of the few doctors who not only take we seriously, but who has also offered helpful suggestions and treatments. I can't recommend her enough.

She listens, she has unique ideas, she's helpful--nothing I don't like about her except she's so popular it's sometimes hard to get an appointment.

HAS THE RIGHT ANSWERES GOOD LISTENER,SPENDS ENOUGH TIME..UP ON CURRENT MEDICAL EVENTS

I saw Dr. Parker for two years, was doing ok with her until natural thyroid hormone manufacturers were having problems. Kept telling her my thyroid was out of control, she was convinced it was something else. Wanted me to take at least $500 worth of tests that were not covered by insurance. I switched doctors. Turned out the custom compound Dr. Parker had prescribed for me was not working. Switched thyroid hormones, bingo, it WAS my thyroid. I may not have an MD, but I do have a master's degree, not stupid, and have dealt with hypothyroidism for over 10 years. When I say its my thyroid, its my thyroid.

Dr. Parker is very nice, but that doesn't make her a good physician. She is glad that I went somewhere else to get an opinion because she has idea what is going on. She is a waste of time for patients with complex conditions because she doesn't know anything.
