Dr. Karen P Bullington, MD

I don't understand how she is getting such glowing reviews from these other posters. I find her to be rude, pushy, absent minded and completely uninformed. She tends to give the deer in headlights look when asked simple medical questions. She rushes through appointments and offers very little basis or analysis for her decisions. She is basically an expensive prescription writer. She is willing to prescribe anything you suggest, which as a patient is somewhat frustrating when you are dealing with complex medical issues. I expect the doctor to be the expert and provide regimented and focused treatment and direct my care not to have to do it myself. I find her to be very unprofessional and even looking up medications in her pocket reference. Theres a lot of 'we could try this' or 'maybe this might work.' She displays very little expertise and seems to operate through pure guesswork. The labs she orders, although comprehensive, yield very little in terms of action and she will shrug off… elevated values saying theres nothing to be done. Why test something if there is no strategy to correct it? She does not listen to her patients and focuses completely on lab results and never addresses or monitors patient symptoms. She is grossly overpriced for the low quality medical care she provides. She is advertised as an expert but has very little knowledge of the diseases she claims to treat. There is no follow up to speak of as you are ushered into the payment office and told see you in 3 months.

Dr. Bullington is 1 of 2 of the finest Doctor I have seen, my amazing recovery from bedridden to thriving is due to her and a colleague friend of hers, as a disabled firefighter burned over 60% of my body I most likely NOT be alive if not for her and her colleague MD, Period!!

Dr. Bullington is an open minded intelligent Doctor - which are rare! She understands HOW TO TREAT CFS / FM / GWS, does the proper tests (which most Docs don't even know about), sends them to the best LABS, plus applies the Teitelbaum Protocol (2nd Ed Book = "From Fatigued to Fantastic"). She is the only Doctor for this I'd recommend here in ATL - & I've done National & International Advocacy for over 23 years.

Dr Bullington is one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. My daughter has suffered from chronic kidney stones for 5 years which led to body pain (fibromyalgia) , been to multiple doctors and Dr Bullington was the first to truly try and find the reason for her pain through in depth analysis for the stones. Other doctors gave an effort but not with the intensity, dedication and focus of Dr Bullington. Highly recommended
