Dr. Karen Ann Hulbert, M.D.

I was a new patient with an initial appointment. I was handed off to a student and the doctor left the room. I had a list of concerns and the first thing the doctor rudely said was that the list was long enough for three appointments. I wasn’t expecting to cover all concerns in depth. She did not write the prescription I asked for and did not put in order for the X-ray she recommended. I had to come back several times to get the X-ray and prescription.

Was not attentive to my needs, did not take my care seriously, didn't follow up on my condition which could have turned into a catastrophic condition. Didn't bother to call or follow up on my blood sugars even though they were running in the mid 200's. I saw this doctor on 3.23.19 and as of today 4.23.19 she has not followed up with my previous appointment or have had any of her assistants contact me regarding my condition. I have seen this doctor for about 6 years and to receive such shoddy treatment from her is appalling and unprofessional. I will NEVER deal with this doctor again or recommend her to anyone. I would not trust her with the care of a goldfish if I had one.

Dr. Hulbert is the best physician I've ever had. I've actually left MCW, but will be going back to see her as my primary.

Dr. Hulbert is one of the most caring and compassionate physicians I have ever met. She is very interested in learning about her patients in a global sense - not just the diagnosis at hand, but all of the factors that come into play (whether it has something to due with the reason or your visit or just to know you at a more personal level). Dr Hulbert's style is very comforting - when appropriate she uses her natural humor to help her patients to feel at ease wit her. I cannot do her practice justice by merely "stars" on a review because she is bright star that shines brightly when you can't see well in the dark due to your medical condition.

I saw Dr. Hulbert today for the first time as a new patient and was very impressed. She made a 'not so fun' appt (annual pelvic exam / pap) actually very comfortable. She's easy to talk to and personable. She was able to answer all of my questions and I truly look forward to having her as my Primary Care Doctor. (whew)
