I have an a patient of Dr. Muratore since 1989. She provides excellent services. She listens to your concerns. I have recommended my mom as well as my daughter to her and they all I love her. I hope she stays with Ochnser, because of my connection with her. She volunteers women’s health care on Wednesday. Thirty nine years and counting says a lot

I’ve seen Dr Muratore for about 10 years now. She’s extremely intelligent and knows her stuff. But she strikes me as having Asperger’s. She makes little to no eye contact. Her bedside manner is icy. I was able to tolerate this until my mental health issues arose. She seemed to not want to discuss what was happening, but quickly said “I’ll prescribe another medication” and moved on. When I contacted her about side effects and asked for a psychiatrist appointment, her response was brusque—she seemed annoyed. I don’t think she means to be cold, I think she just doesn’t process emotions well. If bedside manner is important to you, she may not be a good fit. She also seems rushed; I’m not sure if this is her or if the Ochsner system forces her to be like this.

Dr. Muratore has treated me, my wife and two sons for something like 30 years now and we have never had a problem with the quality of her care. She is thorough and provides remarkably accurate diagnosis. I can call at 8:00 AM with a problem that can't wait and she will see me before 11:00 AM same day most of the time. The appointment will be pushed to the PM same day upon occasion when the issue is unpleasant and uncomfortable but not serious.
