Dr. Karen Lee Woods, MD

this doctor deserves 6 stars. She is through, knowledgeable, great bedside manner. I live in las vegas and have experienced as reflux problem. I will not see a gastro here. I have plans to fly to Houston to be treated by her.

Not sure if Dr. Wood is able to diagnose any GI diseases as the final DX is like a fictitious movie. I’m expecting a more professional experience since she is a Baylor grad. Her time to spend w/ me is less then 15 min as a new patient, during which time I had the impression that my visit with her is a waste of her precious time. Currently I’m seeking care under a new GI doc outside of Methodist and he is an opposite of Dr Wood . Dr. Wood may need to reconsider bedside manners and continue to improve in this area of expertise, as well as actually listening to her patient’s complaints and symptoms.In good conscience I CANNOT recommend her to any other patient.

Just the worst experience with any doctor ever and I'm 52. I was terribly sick and she could not have cared less, even though I had been her patient for 6 years. She lied to my face to cover her own self serving butt over medication she prescribed me. She never discussed my tests with me. Nothing. No help at all. An arrogant doctor and terrible human being.

This doctor was more rude to me than any other doctor. She did not care about my concerns, and lied to me, and told her staff to lie to me. She tried to prove she was in control. I will never see her again. She threatened me at the hospital.

I've seen Dr. Woods for several years. During this time she has diagnosed and treated several serious gastrointestinal ailments and performed endoscopy and colonoscopy. She is intelligent, caring and takes time to answer all my questions.I trust Dr. Woods with my care. I highly recommend her to friends and family.

Dr. Woods gained my complete trust during her treatment of my wife and myself. I have to switch because my insurance doesn't include her, which makes me sad. I have experience with her both from the throat down.. and bottoms up. Great doctor

She knows how the bowels work and refers solidly but she is unprofessional, rude, physically aggressive, duplicated medically uncessary procedures and exams to "show the patient who is boss" and utilizes UNNECESSARY medicions to make this patient even "more compliant" during procedures. She had a very apologetic staff. She is one of the worst doctor's I've ever had but she did manage to refer me to an excellent doctor for additional help so it wasn't a total loss.

I have been suffering with stomach issues for years. No one ever thought to run a few of the tests that Dr Woods honed in on after reviewing all my records and just spending time talking to me. Wish all my doctors were as detailed as she was in working with my issues.

The staff was horrible and rude. I had to call to get my colonoscopy appointment, they didn't explain anything, I never got a follow up after my colonoscopy (did a biopsy). I'm currently looking for another Doctor. If you don't want frustration, go to another Doctor.
