Dr. Karuna Patibandla Murray, MD

She is a horrible, rude, condescending doctor. I would expect (expect, not accept) this from a male doctor but I am absolutely appalled that she is a female Gynecologic Oncologist. She was dismissive and scolding and cold. My sister complained of urinary frequency and Dr. Murray told her to follow up with her PCP. Thank goodness her nurse, Corey (who is WONDERFUL), stepped in and got the urine sample so my sister didn't have to wait for another appointment to submit a simple urine sample. Avoid seeing her if you can.

Do not go to this doctor. She overlooked a condition in our daughter and she died. She even tried to get her to take chemo when she didn't have cancer. If you get sent to her, ask for another doctor.

My appt w/Dr Murray was frustrating to say the least, she was brash, even nasty at times, just not nice, would not let me talk, kept looking at her watch, this was my first and LAST visit to her office. NOT GOOD.

This dr is unprofessional, disrespectful, and out only for the money. She tried to push taking 6 rounds of chemotherapy and I refused. God had blessed me tremendously. Ive been cancer free since 2013. I switched to Dr. Kao and he's up in age but knows what he doing. I also saw Dr Hoff because my Dr had an emergency and he's a great dr as well. They both are SLU drs.

Thank you Dr Murray and Team you are awesome. You are always prompt, caring, and professional.

Dr. Murray has the qualities I need for my disease process. Among those qualities are honesty, tenacity, organization and optimism. I am most grateful for the care she and her team have and continue to provide me. She confidently led me into my unknown world of cancer. Her direct, honest approach inspired me to complete the recommended treatments. Thank you!

Dr Murray is awesome. Her staff are great.

Excellent and gifted surgeon, but lacks in emotional care. Dr. Murray was, on more than one occasion, rude and offered no hope or words of comfort to our family. She seemed put off by our questions and always in a hurry to leave. The office staff, especially Myrna, is outstanding. Their care and personal phone calls were genuine and so appreciated.

Don't walk away from this practice--RUN! She's horrible. Her staff is very nice, especially the woman at the front desk and the office nurse but this doctor is rude, nasty, insensitive, and degrading. She's unfit to practice medicine to human beings. Her profile shows she's accepting new patients very probably because good people just don't like to be abused by the health care professionals they come to see for help and this doctor is an abomination to the practice of medicine. Take a hint: if she's been in practice for 19 years and has to advertise to get new patients (i.e. accepting new patients next to her name on the internet) instead of having a practice so full from peer referrals something is very probably seriously wrong. Stay away. Your life could depend on it.

Dr. Murray performed a hysterectomy on me using Da vinci robotics. I didn't have to take a pain pill after I got home and she was an excellent surgeon.
