Excellent physician. She is very helpful and insightful. I strongly recommend her.

She desperately needs an administrative assistant

Did not help me at all and made things worse. Misdiagnosed me 5 times. Even worse, she didn't care about me and was not in the least bit trustworthy. The worst part: most psychiatrists are just like this or worse. They're extremely misguided and their approach to mental health care should really be obsolete by now, but unfortunately, it isn't. The biological components of mental health problems can be solved with functional medicine. The people who will actually help you charge a reasonable amount ($150 or so), don't try to 'fix' you with meds, and get to the root of the problem.

Saw Dr. Nyquist for 4 and a half months. During this time she gave me 5 different diagnoses, withheld important information from me, and treated me like a subject rather than a person. In the end, she did grudgingly admit that she had been wrong about some of her previous diagnoses. I am a 21 year old college student who suffers from trauma related issues caused by severe bullying, childhood abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Dr. Kate Nyquist charged $250 for 45 minutes of her time, and did not help me one bit. I felt that she did not care about my well-being and was more interested in prescribing meds than addressing my concerns. She was polite, well-mannered, fashionably dressed, and quite attractive, however these were not the traits I was looking for in a doctor. She lacked empathy as well as compassion for her fellow human beings. I would strongly recommend looking for another doctor.
