She completed a three-year residency in Anesthesia at the Huron Hospital-Cleveland Clinic Health System in East Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as chief resident from January to June of 1999. Dr. Liao completed then went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
