Dr. Katherine K Temprano, MD

I was sent to Dr. Temprano by my primary care physician for evaluation of my arthritis. She was friendly, but her nurse was rather grumpy and judgemental. The doctor ordered several, and I mean SEVERAL, lab tests along with x-rays of my hands, feet and chest. She did take a history. I had previously been diagnosed and treated by an excellent rheumatologist who unfortunately passed away. I asked to do my tests at Quest but the doctor said she had difficulty getting results from them. By the way, my primary care doctor, also a BJC physician has always allowed me to go to Quest and she has had no problem getting my results. So I went through BJC and spent a whole day doing tests that could have been done in half the time at Quest. The x-rays could have been done quicker and cheaper at Metro Imaging. After all of the test results were in, even though two of my tests were positive for RA, the doctor said she believed my arthritis was osteoarthritis. I asked about treatment and she told me… to take Advil or Aleve. I asked for something stronger as the pain with walking is intense. She asked me what I wanted. So now I am an MD. I walked away with a one time prescription for an anti-inflammatory and an appointment for one year down the road. Due to the expense of all the tests, my insurance company raised my premium. I have roughed it out with the pain in my feet for years and I will continue to do so. I can buy over the counter meds without wasting my time and money seeing this doctor. It was not worth seeing her and I have already canceled my next yearly appointment. I read her reviews prior to seeing her and I should have heeded the warning signs and her low rating by many patients.

We went to see dr. Temprano. It was the WORST experience we have ever had with a physician. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to see her. Her bedside manner is nonexistent and her dismissive behavior brought me to tears. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy. She needs to go back and consider why she became a doctor in the first place. If it was to help people, she is majorly missing the mark.

I went to see Dr Temprano even thought this site had some bad review on her. I did not experience any of the issues contained in the bad review. She listened to my complaints, examined me and discussed testing and treatment options with me. I am very pleased with her. She is now with BJC Healthcare maybe she was under more pressure to see more patients in a shorter amount of time when she was with the SLU/SSM Group.

She is ok till u ask about anything she didn't recommend, then she acts insulted and is done with u. Silly me I thought I was supposed to ask questions. Wish I would have relizized earlier.

I had a very bad experience at my doctor appointment with Dr. Temprano. This was my second appointment. Both appointments were rushed. She had no bed side manners. She wasn't truly hearing my concerns or trying to figure out a way to help even if it was advice for other referrals who could help. It is true from other reviews that when she is done she is done. Now, I am still in pain and trying to figure out a good doctor who is willing to take the time to help. She had no solutions or ideas for the problem I am experiencing. I would avoid this doctor. I know I am never going back.

That's how I felt after every visit. I kept thinking things would get better. I was even left in the dark that she was leaving SLU. I had appointment and the received phone telling me she's no longer there. I think she could have let her patients know or they should not have scheduled appointments with her. She has a don't care personality, not compassionate about patients and cuts you off while your talking. When she's done she's done. Out the door she goes. I am finally getting around to posting my review because I now once again have to find a new doctor because another one is leaving SLU. I hope this help

Have seen her twice and she took quite a bit of time and review my diagnosis. I thought she was very friendly I didn’t know what to expect considering the bad reviews I saw. The only complaint I have is she ordered some expensive blood tests totaling $1300 plus which had been done by my dermatologist a few months before thankfully my insurance paid for it all
