Dr. Kathleen Ann Sheerin, MD

I sought Dr. Sheerin after being seen by two other Allergist. She is the only one who provided a full coverage treatment plan and what that entails for my situation. She was forward-thinking and had me complete paperwork to receive drug manufacturer assistance. She listened, understood, emphasized and treated me appropriately. Each visit to the office or call on the phone (be sure to save the clinic number in your phone), the staff is responsive, courteous, knowledgeable and informed. The patient portal response time lacks and needs a complete overhaul. I do feel that they should make all patients aware that once they check-in there is a 30 minute wait for some drugs to thaw out and then you are called for your injection. My process is: check-in, drug unthawing, nurse evaluation, back to lobby for the remainder of the unthawing time (if I have to see a Provider, I go directly from the provider to injection). This is in addition to your 30 minute wait afterward. Overall and… based upon my present plan, I am not going anywhere. I will recommend their services to everyone I know. I tailored this review for new patients as I was a new patient once as well.

One of the better Dr’s I have seen in a long time. She listened to my illness and paid attention to details. Provided a plan that was proven to be effective. Appreciate her knowledge and professionalism. Will miss as she retires!

Dr Sheerin has been my allergy doc for 15 years. She listens and always offers helpful advise and medications as needed. Highly recommended!

Dr. Sheerin did not treat me during my first visit to the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic. I walked into her office with rashes all over my skin seeking medical attention and all she did was tell me to schedule a new appointment for the following week. I walked into the clinic around 10:45 am, I was seen by Sheerin around 11:00 pm, and the appointment ended at 11:20 pm. The appointment was extremely rushed. I paid the co-pay, but received zero treatment. She neither prescribed prescriptions because I visited a Minute Clinic the day before and was prescribed the necessary medications. I was encouraged to visit an allergist because I needed an answer to my allergic reaction because I previously experienced an anaphylactic attack. Instead of providing all necessary food allergy tests, Sheerin told me to bring foods from my home for the thursday appointment. As a patient, this is very inconvenient and it should be her job to provide the necessary tools to test for allergies. I am… currently looking for a different allergist to treat and help determine the cause of my allergy. Please do not visit Sheerin if you need to be treated.

It was wonderful experience, the staff of the reception,nurses very professional and friendly.IIt was a blessing to find a Dr Sheerin Kathlen who can communicate easy to understand,with a great knowledge.I highly recommend this group. Elvira Velez

She very unprofessional and displayed terrible bedside manners. In addition, she wasn't very sensitive or sympathetic to my needs. Then, she scheduled another appointment after telling me she couldn't do anything at this one. I go to the next appointment & she tells me that she cannot do anything because I decided to treat the allergic reaction that I had before coming. Now, I get a bill wanting me to pay and nothing was done. Interesting!

I went to Dr. Sheerin after seeing 2 other doctors, one of whom told me that I'd have to go into the hospital just for a diagnosis of my respiratory problems. She did everything that needed to be done right in her office because she had state-of-the-art equipment, prescribed the right medications, and scheduled follow-up appointments saving me possibly thousands of dollars. She had an office crowded with patients so there was a bit of a wait, and she didn't spend a lot of time with the touchy feely stuff because she has a busy practice. I thought she was an excellent doctor and I didn't really care about bedside manner because I was drowning in my own body fluids and she got me breathing again, which was all I wanted!

Cuts you off while you speak. Looks at you as if you were lying when you say you have had allergic reactions to certain things. Rushes you out of the office. Her nurse came in to do my testing and said," what do you want to be tested for?" I'm not an allergist, I can't chose from thousands of possible allergens. Aside from a few runs, i don't know. Isn't there a basic screening panel? Also, the lady at the front desk tried to overharge me for Mt copay. Ugh. Terrible experience. Stay away!

I have been seeing Dr. Sheerin for allergies and follow-up for over 10 years. She is one of the best doctors in Atlanta. Personable, intelligent, and knowledgeable, she has helped me tremendously with my allergies so that I am no longer sick all the time.

She made me feel as if I was "below" her; she did not treat me respectfully at all. she also did not answer the questions i needed answered- i went there for one thing and she did not treat me for it. i do not recommend her to anyone! she is the worst doctor i've been to!
