Dr. Kathryn Peck Rutenberg, MD

Dr. Kathryn Rutenberg is absolutely wonderful. However, unfortunately, her staff and everyone I've spoken to in her office have been rude and unsuccessful in providing help. Incredibly difficult staff to work with and reach via phone.

She is so pleasant and has a great work ethic . I would follow her anywhere !

A bit of a wait but worth it. Always follows up, and always kind.

She is compassionate and takes the time to answer all questions. I've had two babies under her watch though she wasn't around for either delivery, the visits were comforting. The wait time at her office sucks too much.

I was very excited about being visited by Dr. Rutenberg. However the excitement turned quickly into disappointment. The staff is extremely unprofessional, very confusing by phone, not clear answers and keep you on hold forever, furthermore they are rude most of the time. You can feel their lack of enthusiasm for their work. The waiting time is extremely long (about 1hour more, seriously they can not call people to let them know that their appointment is delay instead of having people waiting there without information?). The visits are high speed, not worth the waiting time at all, and they did not help at all with my particular medical situation. In summary, there have to be better ObGyns out there for sure. Not recommended at all. Your time is more precious.

I just called the office to ry to make an appointment for an urgent situation that my GP wants me to have evaluated immediately. Was told that Dr Rutenberg has no appointments for a month. When I asked the receptionist if it was true that there aren't ANY emergency appointments available at all, she said, "That's right!" in a chipper and dismissive way. Seems an odd way to run a medical practice.

What a challenge to blend those qualities and Dr. Rutenberg is so full of such skill at doing so. I adore her.

Dr. Rutenberg is a fantastic OB! I am so impressed with her caring attitude and willingness to answer questions, etc. She calls personally with test results and makes herself readily available if I call with a question. She is particularly sensitive when dealing with patients who have a history of miscarriage. Her support staff both in her office and at St. Luke's Roosevelt hospital could use some improvement, though - both organizationally and in regards to their courtesy. I almost always wait at least an hour to be seen - no matter what time of day my appointment is booked. I greatly prefer Dr. Rutenberg over any other physician in her office as the others seem much more cold and aloof. She is fantastic and is worth the wait times and frustration you may experience as a result of dealing with her staff and colleagues. Highly recommended!

I am having my first child. On my first prenatal visit the MD I saw was horrible!!! On my 2nd PreNatal visit I saw Dr. Rutenberg. What a difference. Very lovely. Had a great bedside manner and reviewed all my lab work etc in front of me. I am going to stick with her throughout my pregnancy...hopefully!

excellent doctor. very caring and attentive. Not clinical in her approach whatsoever. The other two doctors in the practice (both involved in the birth of my two sons) are also great. Staffing problems that made appoinment scheduling and insurance claims handling diffult have been resolved. Highly recommended.
