Dr. Kazi Mahmudul Hassan, MD

After seeing a different doctor for 2 months (he's since left the practice), I was scheduled with Dr. Hassan. The month before, there was an error made in their part regarding an MRI script that was apparently changed but I wasnt notified. After being told by the medical assistant that the MRI was with contract, I attempted to explain the mishap with Dr. Hassan. He looked at the MRI script I was given and wanted no part of my explanation regarding insurance approval for an incorrect test and he wouldn't ask the nurse to tell him what happened. He then called me STUPID, and rudely said, "you can leave now"! Upon exiting the exam room, I asked the receptionist to speak with the med assistant to clarify the error. At that point, Dr. Hassn came flying down the hall to where I was standing, waving his finger in my face telling me I was breaking HIPPA laws by discussing it in the corridor. When I attempted to correct him by saying that not only was nobody there, but that I was not… discussing my details of my protected health information. He then turned to the receptionist and told her to call the police! In shock, I told him not to bother and that I was gladly leaving. I was not given a script and was forced to go through withdrawals without tapering off the meds which is highly irresponsible for any medical doctor to do, especially being I had received the medication from their office the previous 2 months in a row. He is a rude man who doesnt like to be questioned. Doctor/patient interactions should able to develop into a working relationship with patients comfort the priority. All of this due to a clerical error made by his staff. Not to mention I waited TWO HOURS to be treated like some kind of drug addict. Not everyone who takes medication is a drug addict, and he should consider that a patient who is TRYING to come off the meds, should be able to do so without the stress of withdrawal. Shame on him, calling himself a doctor. What happened to the oath of "First do NO harm"? Doesn't exist in that office.

I was referred to Dr. H by workman's comp.. I had seen numerous doctors who were "experts" in this type of injury. It was probally going to be about 2 months before i lost my leg.

I WAS REFERRED TO DR HASSAN AFTER MY ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR WHO DID NOT DO THE SURGERY ON A TRAUMA RELATED LOWER LEG INJURY THAT WAS NON HEALING (ORIF PILON NON HEALING LOWER EXTREMITY FX) THAT FELT I WAS FINE AS WORKMANS COMP WAS PUSHING FOR RECOVERY AND THE ORTHO DOCTOR DID NOT WANT TO WRITE ANY MORE PAIN MED RXS. I WENT TO DR H WITH NOT MUCH FAITH AS IT HAD BEEN A YEAR SINCE THE INJURY AND NO DOCTOR TOOK THE GRAVITY OF THIS INJURY SERIOUSLY, I WAS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AWAY FORM LOSING MY LEG. DOCTOR HASSAN ARGUED MY CASE TO WORKMANS COMP, MADE MYSELF AND MY WIFE FEEL AT EASE AND THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE INJURY I TRUSTED A DOCTOR WITH MY LEG. I TRULY THANK DR AND HIS STAFF FOR ALL THE HARD WORK THEY PUT INTO MY CARE, HE FAUGHT FOR MY STIMULATOR THAT HAS ALLOWED ME TO COME OFF HALF OF MY PAIN MEDS, AND NOW FINALLY AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF I CAN START TO LEARN TO WALK CORRECTLY AGAIN. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR THAT SUGAR COATS THE TRUTH OR WRITES NARCOTICS FOR NO… REASON, THIS IS NOT THE DOCTOR FOR YOU. IF YOU NEED A DOCTOR THAT TRULY CARES ABOUT HIS WORK AND WILL WORK WITH YOU, AS YOU PLAY A MAJOR ROLE IN YOUR RECOVERY, THEN THIS IS THE DOCTOR FOR YOU. OUR FAMILY IS TRULY THANKFUL FOR THIS DOCTOR WHO HAS TAKEN THIS CASE SO SERIOUSLY, AND ULTIMATELY SAVED A LEG. THANK YOU DOCTOR AND YOUR STAFF FOR THE CHANCE AT SOMEWHAT OF LIFE AFTER SUCH AN INJURY, THE OUTCOME COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH DARKER WITHOUT YOUR FIGHT FOR ME.

Dr. Hassan gave me my life back. He is amazing he and his staff fought my insurance and got more done in 6 months than any of my previous docs did in 6 years. He has a true passion for helping his patients

The wait time is unacceptable at times. However, I do know that when Dr Hassan is in the room with me he gives me his total attention. And ensures that I understand all of my options. He addresses all of the issues that I have. I figure that he gives everyone else the same service. The office needs to realize this and stop overbooking him. Or they need another Dr as good as Dr Hassan is.

have been seeing Dr. Hassan in his office on Rt. 54. He has various offices making it easy on the pocketbook when it comes to travel. His staff is professional and extremely friendly. Dr. Hassan is also very friendly and down to earth. Listening to everything you need to say without interruption or explanation before providing a clear and direct list of options.Dr. Hassan and his staff understand the hardship of pain and how it effects all aspects of your life.This is very comforting when you are in so much pain. I did not wait long to get an appointment. Once I had been seen future appointments were made immediately so the problem could be dealt with quickly. I left their office after my second appointment with a new pep in my step, I had forgotten what it was like to not be in pain. I cannot express how helpful this doctor has been to me and my family.

I have RDS ( chronic pain syndrome) from various breast cancer surgeries. I went to Dr. Hassan wanting help to taper and eventually get off Oxycontin that I have been on for ten years. He came in the room and went on and on about insurance and told me he could not help me! He then opened the door and ushered me out. The nurse that interviewed me was as shocked as I was. This is supposed to be a pain management clinic. He was so rude and uncaring.I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!!!!

I respect Dr. Hassan as he has changed by life, I was in a wheel chair, now, I walk without pain- IT IS A MIRACLE, my initial visit was detailed oriented, he spent more then 90 minutes to examine and review all my pertinent medical record including my MRI of both my neck and lower back, he used spine model to identify my source of my chronic pain, after series of three treatment which was done in his state of the art surgical center under fluoroscopy and sedation, my life has changed, I now enjoy spending quality time with my family, I thank my primary care for referring me to Dr. Hassan instead of a spine surgeon. His office is like a 5 star resort-STUNNING. His nurses, PA, and staff are all EXTREMILY CARING AND COMPASSONATE. He is a wonderful humane physician.

Dr. Hassan very compassionate physician and he helped me tremendously and very grateful. His staff and office is top notch, best in the world. He has a very beautiful surgical center and everyone was so nice. I thank my primary care that he referred to Florida Medical Pain Management for my chronic lower back pain.
