Specialties

Dr. Keith A Lerro has the following 3 specialties

  • Medical Oncology

Think of an oncologist as your main physician for cancer care. After being diagnosed, you’ll meet regularly with an oncologist to explore and manage your treatment options, as well as monitor your condition throughout the process. Medical oncologists are extremely knowledgeable in various types of cancer treatment and can recommend the right method for the type and stage of cancer you’re facing.
They may also refer you to additional specialists throughout your care, but they will always be your home base for questions and support. It’s also worth mentioning that medical oncologists deal mostly with solid tumors while hematologists specialize in cancers that involve blood disorders, such as leukemia.

  • Hematology & Oncology
  • Internal Medicine

An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

I woul would recommend Dr. Lerro to anyone who has a loved one that needs treatment.

Excellent bed side manner, patient, kind, listens with real concern, easy to talk to....etc. Cares about his patients and their family members. Strives to make the patient comfortable in order to achieve the most beneficial and positive outcome for the patient as an individual. Is open and honest to all questions and concerns. He displays a genuine compassion for the stages the patient goes through which is rare. Dr. Lerro is very intelligent, yet talks to the patient on a level in which they can understand the Journey that they are on.

TOP NOTCH PHYSICIAN!!Thorough with all tests and making a diagnosis

This is one doctor that has a caring for all his patients. He works very hard to assure his patients and families he will do everything in helping them feel at ease with their treatments. If a medicine does not work or too expensive, he, his staff, and patient advocate will do everything to help that patient get the needed medication. He has a very dedicated patient advocate that goes above and beyond the call of duty for all patients. His staff is very professional, loving, and friendly. Yes, Dr. Lerro is not always prompt getting in with a patient; but YOU tell me what physician is on time! He has numerous patients in the hospital; there is always a patient in need of being seen particularly a couple days after chemo for a workin. This is one physician's office that cares about their PATIENTS!

Dr. Lerro is a joke.

Dr. Lerro may have many letters behind his name, but he is he a horrible Oncologist. These patients are very sick or dying, and need compassion and patience. Not him staring at a laptop during the entirety of his appointment. He has no bedside manners whatsoever and this makes his patients that much more discouraged. Being brilliant does not make you a great doctor. Someone should remind him of this. PROS: His office and lab staff all have VERY compassionate attitudes and are very loving. They have scheduling issues but their understanding makes up for that.
