Book AppointmentKelly A. Healy, MD, FACS is an Assistant Professor in the Department in the Department of Urology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center Department of Urology. She specializes in the medical and surgical management of nephrolithiasis as well as endoscopic treatment of upper urinary tract neoplasms and obstructive lesions. Dr. Healy earned her medical degree from Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA in 2005. She then completed a General Surgery internship and Urology residency at Emory University in 2010. Following this, she completed her fellowship in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery/Robotics at Thomas Jefferson from 2010 to 2012. During this time, she also served as a Clinical Instructor and had also been an Assistant Professor and Director of the Jefferson Stone Center. She has served as faculty for hands-on advanced endourology training courses regionally, nationally, and internationally. Dr. Healy has given invited lectures at the "Challenges in …Endourology" Meeting in Paris, France and the joint American Urological Association (AUA) and Sociedad Colombiana de Urologia "Lessons in Urology" Program in Cartegena, Colombia. She served as Co-Director and faculty for the AUA/Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand Endourology Workshop in Melbourne, Australia.Her main research interests include the endourologic treatment of complex kidney stones and upper tract urothelial tumors. Dr. Healy has published multiple articles and book chapters in these areas. She also serves as a reviewer for several journals. She was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She is a member of various urological societies including the AUA, Endourological Society, Societe Internationale d'Urologie, American Women Surgeons, Society of Women in Urology, Research on Calculus Kinetics (ROCK), and EDGE (Endourology Disease Group for Excellence). Dr. Healy is Chair of the Kidney and Adrenal Health Committee of the Urology Care Foundation of the AUA and Committee Member of Public Education Council of the AUA. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
