Dr. Kemunto Mokaya, MD

Dr. Mokaya came highly recommended when I moved to The Woodlands, and she exceeded every expectation. She’s everything you’d want in a dermatologist—kind, thorough, and incredibly skilled. She makes you feel heard and explains things in a way that builds trust. My husband and daughter had a great experience with her, and I’m excited for my own visit. Bonus: she’s also a fantastic author! Highly recommend Dr. Mokaya for your family’s dermatology needs!

Dr. Mokaya is a fantastic dermatologist! She is professional, thorough and very personable. I've been seeing her for a while and love how she explains things well and makes sure you understand what is going on. She also has amazing skills - she took off an abnormal mole and I was a little nervous at first, but the scar looks amazing! She taken off unwanted growths on my face to make me look pretty, and more recently, she has started doing my Botox injections to make me look younger and refreshed. I totally recommend her!!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Kemmy Mokaya. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when I saw her. My regular dermatologist was booked out 4 months, and when I called Dr. Kemmy's office in the Woodlands, I lucked out because they had a cancellation and could squeeze me in. She is kind, personable, thorough, and makes you feel at ease. She was able to see me and do my procedure in one visit! Although I appreciate my old dermatologist, I'm now switching my care to Dr. Kemmy!!

She is thorough and found a skin cancer that another dermatologist missed! She treated it promptly and the scar looks great! I have referred several family members to her and they all love her. Because I have had melanoma skin cancer, I have had several experiences with dermatologists. I was seeing a physician in Knoxville who diagnosed me with melanoma and had her partner do surgery. Because I was not satisfied with this physician, Dr. Mokaya was recommended to me. Wow, what a difference. She examined me and checked lymph nodes as well. Dr. Mokaya explained the importance of checking my lymph nodes and really did a full body exam. I am so grateful that Dr. Mokaya was recommended to me and I would recommend her to anyone. In fact, several of my friends now have appointments with her. One friend saw her before Christmas and thanked me for the referral. She has been taking care of my family for years and is wonderful. She's the best in the Maryville/Knoxville area. I just learned that she also does cosmetics in addition to medical care. I had Botox and fillers done last month and it's the best I've looked in ages. Dr. Mokaya takes her time and sometimes you have to wait for her, but she's always worth the wait. Totally recommend!
