If I could give a -1, I would. Went in with terrible pain, told me to not drink so much water because that was the "old" way.

Good personality and very nice.

I too was a patient of Dr. Essig at his Clermont and Ocoee offices. Had been seeing him for several years for ongoing kidney stones and was very satisfied with the treatment he had been providing. I had an appointment scheduled this Spring and called the office to find out if I needed to have any tests done before the appointment, only to find that his phone had been disconnected. After calling both Health Central and South Lake hospital, I found that he was no longer on staff and had closed his offices. He provided no notice to me and if the other recent reviews are accurate, to his other patients. I find this to be extremely unprofessional.

Dr Essig closed his Clermont office with no notice to any of his patients. I only learned of his departure when I went for a scheduled appointment and found the space occupied by a massage business. Certainly not a very ethical way to run a practice.

Dr. Essig moved from his Citrus Tower Blvd office, and did not have the courtesy, or professionalism to provide patients with new office location, and phone number. When I tried calling his number, it was disconnected with no new phone # provided, Had to drive to his office to find out he had moved!

This "doctor" and his staff a joke! Good luck, your appointment will be canceled guaranteed!

Moved his office in Feb. 2015. Dint even call to let us know he moved, and I had an apptontment with him. Very poor professionalism on his behalf.

Misdiagnosed a family member, who ended up with bladder cancer. Terrible demeanor too.

Dr Essig saved my life when I developed prostate cancer. I had a racical prostectomy in 2001. I made a remarkable recovery and am fit and well in 2014, Wonderful dedicated doctor.

Dr. Essig provided me with the information and expertise I was looking for when faced with prostate cancer. I wasn't sure what treatment was right for me and Dr. Essig took the time to explain and evaluate my specific disease and what treatment would be best in his opinion. I would recommend Dr. Essig to friends and family and already have on multiple occasions. Thank you Dr. Essig for your time and attention.
