Dr. Kerry Brent Hagen, MD

Hagen misdiagnosed me, refusing to correct it after receiving chart notes from 6 providers above his pay-scale & educational-level. He still refuses. Also, he has been charging medical insurance instead of workers comp; forcing me to pay $10,000 out of pocket before anything will be paid. He refuses to bill workers-comp correctly. He wrote a letter he denied writing. When backed into a corner, his staff laughed at him. As a result, he fired himself as my workers-comp doctor; denying me treatment. He can't stop treating w/o reassigning me to another workers comp provider, first, transferring care. His supervisor, Ms. Hess has tried to convey the message to him but he is ignoring her. I have given her/him until the end of the week to get this resolved and my money back and a new provider. Otherwise, next week they will both hear from my workers comp attorney and trust me, I will be seeking that Hagens license BE SUSPENDED FOR INSURANCE FRAUD.

I had a few eye issues recently -- a sudden vitreous gel detachment, and a painful development of dry eyes. I appreciate how comprehensive the exam was and how well he explained what was happening and how to treat it. Great follow-up, too.

Dr. Hagen took me on as a patient on a referral from one of his practice partners because of Dr. H's expertise with corneal issues. I've been seeing him for the past 2+ years, and find his expertise to be beyond question, and value highly his manner and style. If I have a question, it gets answered. He has managed my very complex case expertly and caringly. Highly recommend Dr. Hagen.

Seems to be a good Dr. Usually a wait when you get there. He explains things to you. But, not always thoroughly enough.

This review is based on three patients negative experience with Dr. Hagen. Husband's contacts are so bad that his old ones offer better vision. Mother, age 80 was continually brought in for testing yet the issue was not addressed during exam. She had to ask him about it. I too brought in for continuous testing yet no change had occurred. Feel issues are not addressed and continuous testing done to generate business revenue.

We are so happy to have been referred to Dr. Hagen. We feel very secure and comfortable under his care. He takes the time to answer all questions and his staff at Peterkort Center is very patient and friendly.
