Dr. Kerwin T Farmer has the following 2 specialties
- Emergency Medicine
An emergency physician is a doctor who is an expert in handling conditions of an urgent and extremely dangerous nature. These specialists work in the emergency room (ER) departments of hospitals where they oversee cases involving cardiac distress, trauma, fractures, lacerations and other acute conditions.
Emergency physicians are specially trained to make urgent life-saving decisions to treat patients during an emergency medical crisis. These doctors diagnose and stabilize patients before they are either well enough to be discharged, or transferred to the appropriate department for long-term care.
- Family Medicine
A family practitioner is a doctor who specializes in caring for people of all ages, at all stages of life. Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or patient population, family practitioners are often the doctors that people see for their everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections, and health screenings. When necessary, family practitioners will provide referrals for conditions that require the expertise of another specialist.
The doctors may also provide physicals, inoculations, prenatal care, treat chronic diseases, like diabetes and asthma, and provide advice on disease prevention.

I went to an urgent care earlier in the day and was diagnosed, they gave me a shot of antibiotics and oral antibiotics there and was told if the problem got worse to go to the ER and get put on IV antibiotics. My symptoms got worse so I went to the ER, when I told Dr. Farmer what I was diagnosed with earlier he did not listen, he was acting like it was a competition with a different doctor that was not in the same hospital network! He stated it was not what I was diagnosed with, but he was not sure what it was and proceeded to do X Rays and blood work that were not needed because he sent me home after a shot of Benadryl that knocked me out and paperwork about the earlier diagnosis. And was told if it got worse to come back. The next day I was admitted to the hospital and spent 3 days on IV antibiotics for the condition that Dr. Farmer stated I did not have. So thanks to him I have two ER bills in addition to useless test he ordered, on top of my hospital stay.
Dr. Kerwin was very courteous and helpful. The emergency room was unable to help my husbands current condition, but Dr. Kerwin went above and beyond to make sure the proper Dr.s would see him to get his needed treatment. He spoke with us in easy layman's terms and I feel quite confident that he is a very knowledgeable and competent physician. He was not rude or condescending in any way, but then again neither were we.
Dr. Farmer is the rudest doctor I have ever met. I went into the ER with abdominal pain. After all the tests he came into the room, told me I had gallstones, handed me my discharge papers and told me to go see my family doctor then walked out of the room. He refuses to listen to what you have to say. Despite my pain being severe he refused to give me any kind of pain meds and sent me home with Tramadol. What a joke!
I think he is the worst doctor I have encountered ever. He was arrogant, rude and would not answer my questions. I left with more questions than I had when I went in. He shouldn't even be a doctor. At the very least he should be penalized foe being so rude Believe me, there will be a complaint made to the hospital!
