Dr. Kevin Bradley Barker, MD

Very professional. Spent plenty of time going over my medical records. He ordered several test to find out what's going on. Was to the point but respectful doing it. Very pleased!

Dr. Barker who had never met my mom before came in her hospital room this week and told her BLUNTLY "YOU KNOW YOU ARE DYING" and proceeded to tell her where all the cancer was, how long he thought she would live, told her to get right with God (my mom is a devout CHRISTIAN), and to get Hospice when she leaves hospital. Although, my mom may know she has cancer, there was no compassion at all. She starting crying and so did my sister who was in the room. My mom is 87 years old and has been a worrier through the years because of losing my dad, two step-dads and my brother to cancer. I would never recommend this physician to anyone you care about.

My time with this doctor was while I was in the hospital. He has no bedside manner and is very rude. He has no concern for privacy. With my children in the room, he walked in and without hesitation or asking my husband to step out with them, said "look, you need to stop praying for miracles, there is nothing anyone can do for you." In fact, there is but my 11 and 13 year old children broke down and now we are having to seek therapy. While my disease is complicated to treat and he obviously had no idea how to, his behavior was unacceptable. He even went so far as to tell me not to bother with a follow up visit after my 5 day stay because he could not help me.
