Great doctor; smart, friendly, well dressed. Even gave me his cell number and told me I could call him anytime. He rocks!

I am trying to get an approval for Invokana from my Insurance company. The doctors office has given my insurance company incorrect information for the second time because they are not looking at my records. Therefore I am denied again. The inefficiencies are so apparent in this practice. I now have a lower opinion of Jefferson doctors. Done with this place!

He is a great doctor and got me in and out right away. He was very nice and explained everything well.

Dr. Furlong, by far, was my favorite Dr in my team at Jeff. He is funny smart and really does care about his patients. The only problem is getting a hold of him or even getting in to see him. That is why he was nice enough to give me his personal cell for emergencies. The staff may not be the best in getting you in for an appointment or even relaying your messages, but he is worth the hassle. His office and him personally played a vital role in saving my life. He is worth waiting for if you want to make an appointment with him. Thank you for being great Dr. furlong! And thank you for saving my life!

I saw Dr Furlong for the first time a couple of weeks ago . He has an excellent bedside manner, and is very knowledgeable. He took alot of time explaining my problem step by step, and how he would treat me. I highly recommend him as an Endocrinologist.

He is the cheerleader for his patients' success. the office staff is rather impersonal but the techs, nurses and physicians are phenomenol. The wait is long because he is thorough with every patient. One does not feel rushed. Great personality. Humanizes interaction with a doctor.

This Doctor was the worst I've ever encountered in 50 years-- When presented with symptoms he became agrumentative and defensive. He never even performed ANY PHYSCIAL EXAMINATION of me- like my Doctor now did. This is the worst case of what Universities are putting out now-- young doctors with textbook knowledge and no practical experience-- I litterally argued with him for 30 minutes regarding my condition requireing Hydro-Cortisone temporary theropy so I could tolerate Thyroid Hormone without having severe Hyper Reactions to the medication-- He didn't even offer to admit me considering the state I was in at the time for further evaluation-- I left Thomas Jefferson that day in much worse shape then I arrived-- Sure enough & ironically I finally got to see a Real EndoCrinologist - Dr. Joe Fallon who after a full examination of my symptoms & physical exam said-- I needed Hydro- Cortisone- which I was put on immediately-- I've since recovered thanks to Dr. Fallon-- I would have died at… the hands of Furlong-- also worth noting I sent a full detailed complaint to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital -Phildelphia regarding that visit & have never heard a word back from them.BE CAREFULL OUT THERE!

while I think Dr Furlong is a wonderful doctor, I do not like to deal with the Broad Street Office....

I liked Dr. Furlong. I rated the front desk staff poorly. However, the techs and nurses are good. The wait time is a positive. He spends time with patients and listens to them. He is very thorough. So you know that you are waiting a long time because he is taking time with the patient before you and that he will do the same with the rest of his patients. I would recommend the Dr. without hesitation. He knows what he is doing and is very encouraging, humorous, easy to talk to and supportive.
