Had to wait over an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time only for Dr. Lanighan to give a dismissive diagnosis in 2 minutes without even performing any kind of real examination. Keep in mind it was Northtowns Orthopedics that had me make the appointment with Dr. Lanighan in the first place after I visited their after hours clinic at the request of my primary doctor. Guess they just wanted to milk it for whatever they could get.
I had a simple cyst on my top knuckle of my ring finger. I was told the Dr. could cut it out. So the Dr. attemped to cut it out but he cut from my kuckle right up through my nail to my finger tip (vertical). I did not know he was going to cut me this was. When he was done he said "I hope I saved your nail". Well he didn't save my nail. I am a working women and my hands are always on display. I am sooo upset that he did this to me, I have to hide my hand all the time, as i have a line that goes right down my nail bed and the nail now is deformed and the nail does not grow. BTW i went to another Dr. and he said to me ," why would he cut you this way?", He said, he should have cut it horizontally. I would never, ever go back to him...Who does this to someone....Run
Never and I mean never will I return - not even to get the stitches out. Had trigger finger surgery. Wrapped me up and sent me out to reception (home) only to have my wound spirting blood everywhere. Banged on reception window and the girl called to the back - nurse came out (friendly) and brought me back. Told me Lanighan made incision a little to big. Told to take Tylenol and ibuprofen for pain. Three days later hand in more pain - called. Insisted I come in. Waited 1 hr 45 min. Didn't even engage me in conversation before he barged in and said there is nothing wrong. Then accused me of pill seeking. Some woman left the office and returned to announce I had a prescription for Tramadol filled 3 months prior. What this had to do with anything was beyond me. He belittled and told me I was not in pain. I work in law enforcement and require full use of my hand. He caught me - my whole plan was to have unneeded surgery, wait three days, call the office just to get my hands on some pain Meds. My hand still hurts. Never in my life!!!
