My wife was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, ER+,PR+ and HER2+ at one spot and ER+,PR+ and HER- at another spot on the same breast. This was confirmed after surgery and we went to see Dr. Kevin Fox at the University of Pennsylvania for her post surgery therapy. Based on this diagnosis the treatment option includes six cycles of chemotherapy followed by six months of Hercptin. Dr Fox questioned the diagnosis and decided to re-test the tumor. Since the surgery was done at a different hospital and lab, sample was transferred to Penn to re-test. The result was HER2- on both spots which changed the treatment protocol to a total of four cycles of chemotherapy that was completed in three months. Dr. Fox is very skilled, knowledgeable and caring individual who saved my wife from going thu' unnecessary treatment for the entire year. Thank you Dr. Fox. I believe all breast cancer patients deserve a doctor like Dr. Kevin R Fox.
