Dr. Schuster is terrible. He took care of my mother while she was admitted for a severe brain bleed at Yale. The day she was transferred out of the ICU he wanted to discharge her (this was less than 48 hours after admission and she had not been out of bed yet, never mind evaluated by PT). He then proceeded to treat her like a checklist of things to get done in order to discharge her, rather than a human being. I am a physician and I have never encountered a more insensitive and incompetent doctor in my life. I would never trust him to take care of love one in the future, and would recommend seeking a second opinion if you are forced to receive care from him.

On Sunday 10-29-2018 I took my mother to the emergency room at St. Raphaels Hospital. She was suffering from severe abdominal pain that circled around into her back. After receiving some conflicting information, my mom was told she needed emergency surgery to correct the problem. She became very nervous about this news, we all got upset and a bit hostile Dr. Schuster was the surgeon on call. My mom asked if she could speak with him in her room before making a decision to move forward with surgery. He arrived in her room, was able to calm the situation, answered all our questions and assured us of a positive outcome. Mom was sent home 3 days later and she is doing great at this time. We greatly appreciate Dr. Schuster's services. Dr. Schuster would be our first call if a need for a surgical procedure does arise.

Dr. Schuster was very kind to me. He is very attentive, straight forward, and very willing to take me as a patient when other Doctors have told me it would be too difficult (to surgically fix a very large hernia). The office staff are friendly, and eager to help however they can, including helping me arrange medical transportation. I am so thankful to everyone there for helping me when others could not.

This doctor was patient, reassuring and thorough! He has a great bedside manner, explains everything in language anyine can understand and was right on as far as diagnosis and prognosis he also tooktime to speak with all my doctors
