De. Edmiston is very good at explaining what is happening, answering my questions, and listening to me. She really cares.

I know Dr. Edmiston was "fitting me in" yet she never made me feel as though she was rushing. She had my history and my current Images in hand and took the time to compare them and explain all changes and the course of action to be considered. She made the situation understandable, which left me with less anxiety.

I have never complained about a doctor in my entire life, but I really do need to say something about this doctor. I came with a lot of questions about my condition and surgery. She didn't like this one bit, so decided to "put me in my place" by describing my surgery and drawing a diagram, then asking me to "repeat what I have just told you." I felt the blood rush to my head I was so offended and should have walked out right then and there, but I hate confrontation, so I stayed. Next, I was put in a room with a couch, chairs and a coffee table with the door closed "for my privacy" which I found extremely odd and uncomfortable. I was left there for about 10 minutes. and was about to walk out the door when the doctor came and said that she had an opening for my surgery in the next month. I told her I wanted to wait until after the first of the year because of all the holiday trips, etc. that we would be taking. At that point she said, "well....IF you were MY mother......!" That… did it. I am NOT her mother and was extremely angry with this "sales pitch!" I still have not had my surgery and will be seeking a second opinion. I will never go back to this office. My condition was not an emergency. I have a benign papaloma.

Dr. Edmiston did my breast cancer surgery in Nov. 2013. She took time to talk with my husband & daughter & explained everything clearly to them. What I remember the most about her caring way, is when she took my hand in the operating room & told me they would take good care of me. I responded to her that I trust them. She is an excellent surgeon & I do recommend her to anyone.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Edmiston. She ordered an MRI prior to surgery to make sure there was nothing else going on. Turns out, there was. I appreciated how thorough she was. She took the time to explain everything and answer all questions. I have seen her twice for follow ups and each time she was caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend her. She is an excellent surgeon and diagnostician.

Dr. Edmiston is the most unprofessional surgeon that I have ever met. Regardless of her credentials and the prestigious University she attended, it certainly doesn't qualify her as a top notch surgeon. You see, there is this concept known as compassion and when Dr. Edmiston is getting ready to operate on my mother, she comes out of the pre-op room to advise me that my mother be dying from the illness. I'm not sure where that is taught while attending medical school, but it truly showed me that regardless of how great she may think she is as a surgeon, her bedside manner is extremely disappointing and inexcusable. I would recommend any other surgeon in the practice.
