Dr. Lan Tran, MD

I recently saw Dr Tran who was professional, compassionate, pleasant, asked questions, explained reasons for further referral, and clarified concerns. The office could be more organized since I needed to provide a specimen but supplies weren’t sufficient, directions unclear, and whether to stay or leave unclear. Reception was pleasant and provided the necessary end of appointment paperwork. Nurses were pleasant and also made my referral appointment with a provider of my gender choice.

I have never actually met with Dr. Tran. At the beginning of my pregnancy her office called in some lab tests for me. Dr. Tran called me to give me the results and asked me why I was having the tests done, as a Dr it is her job to read my chart! She made me feel very uneasy while I waited for another week for the second test results. A few weeks later I had an appointment scheduled for for my first prenatal check up. I was called a week ahead and told that Dr. Tran's schedule changed and they needed me to take a later appointment, I wasn't happy but I obliged. The Friday before my appointment they called to tell me that their was a mistake and I needed to have my first prenatal appointment before I saw Dr. Tran. (This appointment was supposed to be my first prenatal.) They asked me to go in at 10am to see the nurse before my appointment. I was told by the receptionist I shouldn't have to wait for the Dr. until 11:45am. When I went for my appointment the nurse was wonderful!… (Possibly the only good part in the whole office) After we finished she told me I would have to wait for Dr. Tran until my apt time. I left and came back at 11:25 and made sure to check back in at the desk. I waited until 12:05 when I was called over by the receptionist and was told there was a miscommunication. She walked away for a few minutes then came back to tell me that Dr. Tran would not be able to see me because I didn't have blood work taken prior to the appointment. However I had never received an order to get bloodwork. Needless to say I left the office and immediately started to search for a Dr. who is more reliable. I'm more than disappointed in this office. I would never trust them with the delivery of my child!

Do not waste your time going to this office! I've been at this office 3-4 times to treat my pregnancy and all I have had is horrible experience. The staff is friendly but the doctor made me wait longer than what she took to actually see me. All this MD/office does is collect payment from the insurance and does not value you as a patient.

Cold and straight to the point. Very scary for a first time mom.
