Dr. Lata Shridharan has the following 1 specialty
A pediatrician is a doctor who specializes in the regular care of children, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of illness in children. Young patients are often more complicated to treat because they are still growing and developing.
While pediatricians may sub-specialize in specific therapy areas like oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology, in general, pediatricians provide services like vaccinations, health exams, and treatment of common ailments and injuries. In addition, pediatricians are trained to handle the complex emotional and behavioral issues faced by children, especially during puberty.
Pediatricians normally see their patients from birth until the age of 18, although some may agree to treat patients into their early 20s, if requested.

We've been going to Natural Pediatrics in Plano for about four months now, but with three boys, they know us well! I can almost always get in on the same day and are seen quickly. We absolutely love Nurse Practitioner Mathews and the office staff. They are so sweet to my crazy boys and really seem to care about us. I highly recommend this practice!
Hey All, I am writing this note as I had a very bad experience with my sons peadiatrician names Dr.Lata Shridharan at Natural Pediatrics. We went to her based on the recommendations of few friends since we recently relocated to USA.On our first visit we were given a huge documentation which we had to fill regarding my sons details and immunization record. The staff there are also not helpful in any which way.Based on my sons immunization record i was asked to fill their record and i had a tough time doing that as I dint know the exact vaccines given here. Moreover i felt this was nurses job as they would know it better. Fine we were done with it and then we visited the doctor. Since it was the first well-visit she just checked the details and said all immunizations were up to date. We then went to another clinic as we needed our fitness certificate as well. There the nurse noticed that my son had missed one of the immunizations. Then I called up the clinic to ask them about the same. After a long hold, they said they had missed that and they were closing in 15 minutes so if we managed to reach there in 15 minutes we could get it done. Given the fact that it was their mistake. Then we had to rush there and get it done as we couldnt afford to miss another day at work due to their recklessness. Second instance- Last week my sons school wanted a letter from his doctor regarding his fitness. So they sent them a fax requesting for the letter. After waiting for a week, the school informed us that the doctor had not responded.I then called up to find out what the problem was.And they straight away told us they dint receive the fax.We do have an acknowledgement from them regarding this but they refused to accept. So i requested the school to send in another fax for the same and immediately called them to find out if they recieved it this time and they accepted it.THey then told me it will take 2 days to get the letter and they would call me and let me know once its ready. Two days? Really? To just check his records and put a seal and sign? Fine i waited two days but as expected got no calls. I called them today and the lady who picked the call said they have not received any fax.Well that was the end of my patience. I asked her about the process and every thing they have done so far to irk me. Finally she said the letter was ready and i could collect it.I said why not fax? And they said they cant fax it back and i have to personally collect it. Well what more. I just decided this is the last time i am stepping in there and went and got the letter. So people if you are even giving a thought of visiting this place please do think again. There are much better doctors and staff around who do a better ob than these people.I would not recommend going here for any reason, come what may.
I am truly sorry about your experience Divya. Please call me and I will try to make it right for you. I see that your friends are still bringing their children here and that I suppose counts for their confidence. Immunization records from another country are difficult to translate and there may be error in translation. I apologize for that. Regarding the letter, My priority list for handling a form falls after all of these ....kids in hospital, sick kids in office, follow up of sick kids that visited previously, well checks in office, concerned parents who have reached out, doctor referrals, prescription refills, and then forms received in chronological order. Lately, we had too many sick kids, churn in staff and too many school forms. Before I sign a form, it is my duty to review the records and do in the order at which it was received. Thus it takes time for a simple signature. Hope you understand.
It started with a nice visit. The front office was a little rude but I assume they were just having a bad day. I was pumped that I found a natural doctor. That thought was quickly vanished when I overheard the doctor blabbing to her staff that my child was being "stupid"! How dare you insult a small child. You are a cold hearted, no good person. As a professional, my advice to you is to be kind to every patient if you want to stay in buisness.
Thank you for the feedback. If I make a mistake, I will be first to seek forgiveness. We don't speak about any patient outside the room. PERIOD. Not only is it wrong, unethical, and unprofessional. It is also illegal. This never happens. Yes - I do find many aspect of business of medicine 'stupid'. But seeing kids is the only joy left for me as a doctor, that I cherish.
We love Dr. Shridharan. She is kind and helpful. The staff are friendly as well. We agree that their office can get super busy, and phone calls might not always get returned promptly, but we think they're doing their best. We also choose to stay with this office because they do not accept non-vaccinated patients. With a newborn baby, we are very cautious around sick environments (e.g. our pediatrician office). We take comfort in knowing that most of the sick children we are in contact with are vaccinated against infectious diseases (except those who can't be vaccinated due to medical reasons).
