Dr. Lauren Beth Elman, MD

Dr Elman is the most unempathic and rude physician I have ever met. Rather than having a 2 way consultstion with this doctor I feeel like I was attacked by a rabid dog. She did not want to listen snd had her mind made up before she entered the room. Her clinical note written by herself and her fellow had multiple errors and that is now part of my chart, it’s pure laziness. Hands down the most uncaring human being and physician I have had a consult with in the last 20 years. Would not recommend her to anyone as she is not a listening physician and if your illness is uncommon she gets frustrated during her aseeesemnt and says she will consult psych. This was shocking to hear as a patient who is ill with multiorgan invovlement. This doctor should reassess how she approaches complex patients for her opinion on the neuro aspects, and she needs to understand that her ugly behaviour and frustration that she unleashes in the patient for whom she is meant to be “caring” , does not yield… anything positive for doctor or patient. Very poor performance from a speciality physician. I hope she can regain the empathy she lost along the way

Totally relatable, Dr Elman is conscientious, through, and gets to the root of the problem while deciding on a treatment. I would highly highly recommend her to anyone as a superior neurologist

This physician has a wonderful, warm and cordial demeanor. She spent a considerable amount of time with me and recommended follow-up tests to be administered by her. During my first visit, i couldn't help but feel that this would be the doctor who would give me a meaningful and correct diagnosis. She managed my expectations by saying that the tests may not be conclusive but I have the feeling that she would take the testing/examination further if necessary. She is very knowlegeable but communicates in a way that a layman can understand. In summary, a very impressive physician.
