More about Laurie M. Katz
Dr. Laurie M. Katz is a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University where she received numerous athletic awards as a varsity diver. She is a 2002 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Katz completed her orthopedic residency training at the Tufts Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program, and went on to complete a fellowship program in Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital. During her fellowship, she gained training room experience working as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics.
Dr. Katz is the current medical director of the Lasell University Sports Science and Athletic Training Education program, as well as the team physician for Lasell University student athletes. Dr. Katz is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is board certified in orthopedic surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Katz has been named to Castle Connolly’s Best of Boston Top Doctors for 2020 and 2021, Regional Top Doctors for 2019, 2020 and 2021, and Exceptional Women in Medicine for 2019 and 2020. She has a special interest in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery.
