Dr. Lawrence Holt Peters, MD

Dr. Peters is an exceptional medical professional who demonstrates genuine concern for the well-being of his patients. My association with him as a patient spans over thirteen years, and I hold immense gratitude for his professionalism and dedication. Dr. Peters exhibits exceptional listening skills and treats his patients with utmost care and respect, fostering a familial atmosphere within his practice.

Dr Peters himself is great. Nice and professional. His office staff however leaves a lot to be desired. No one ever answers the phone. They rarely return calls when you leave a message. Even worse for me, I stopped seeing Dr. Peters last year and they are still charging me. I canceled an appointment a full week in advance yet they say they were charging me a missed appointment fee. Today there was a $50 charge from his office. I have reported it as a fraudulent charge I didn’t authorize or make. My bank is starting a fraud investigation.

The absolute c*nts who answer the phone are the most rude and evil people on the planet. They don’t care one iota if you’re in pain or if one of the PAs screws up a script. And the PAs are no better. They will not help you one bit. And that’s if you can ever get them to answer the phone or call you back. Dr Peters himself may be a nice guy but he has no clue how his office staff treats patients. I never want to wish ill on anyone else but I wouldn’t be upset if any/all of the “office ladies” experienced prolonged and painful end-of-life events.

If it weren't for Dr.Peter's and now my amazing NP Charna I don't know where I would today or who I would be today. They quite possibly saved my life, or any life worth living. I have an amazing supportive husband, and beautiful wonderful children, but when you're in agonizing pain everyday it's hard to se any of that or enjoy the things that make life worth living. I have been sick for 11 years now. For the first 6 I went to about a half dozen doctors who either had me on so much meds I felt like a zombie, or treated me like I needed to grin and bare it. From my very first appointment with Dr. Lawrence 5 yrs ago I knew he was different just from the questions he asked and the amount of time he took with me, actually touching my body! As ridiculous as it sounds some pain doctors I have been to have never laid a finger on my body! He treated me like a human who happened to be be dealt a bad hand, not a patient who he just was ready to throw the same script to as the last one, rinse and… repeat. Actually I have talked to several people in the waiting room and I have yet to talk to 2 people who are on the same treatment, that says a lot to me. He treats us as individuals because we are, and that's the only way to really and truly help relieve severe pain. I thank God for him and so does my family. Now to Charna. She is who I see most often. She is who gets me when the depression has been kicking my butt and I am having a "poor me" moment. She has become a therapist, sounding board, and friend just as much if not more than my NP. For any complaints I hear on here about rude NP's i know they can't be about here. I am not familiar with the other NP's sadly to speak for them. But dear Charna I owe her my sanity, and I have probably taken hers a few days, for that I am sorry haha! I also suffer from crippling anxiety. With Covid happening right now Charna knew that I would be out in the waiting area having a panic attack for my first appointment since the epidemic. So she had them put me in a room as soon as I checked in. If that isn't above and beyond I don't know what is! With commemts about the front staff I have never had a problem with anyone being rude. I have seen several people be very rude to them. I would say every other appointment someone loses their temper on them about billing or something that is probably out of their control. I would imagine after awhile it would be hard to not let that get to you. I think they do an excellent job trying to brush it off. They understand people in pain can sometimes have shorter fuses. Yes, there have been times where I haven't been called back. I will say that has improved drastically in the last year or so. I can't tell you the last time that has happened. So if you or anyone you know has debilitating pain, this office, this doctor, this NP are the people you want on your side. Cotton

I found Dr. Peters to be a compassionate, thorough and very smart doctor. His staff was polite. Looking forward to seeing him again.

I have been seeing Dr Peters for over 10 years.He is a truly caring Dr and takes his time with you.He does whatever he can do to see your issues through until you can feel better.Ive never met a Dr like him most just care about money but not Dr Peters

I was tricked bad. One mistake after another with these people. I advise you to to a different doctor.

I’ve also been a patient if Dr. Peters for several years & the only problem I’ve ever had Is that they do not return phone calls/msgs promptly. However, recently his staff has been very rude & condescending, Especially his NP. She has the personality/bedside manner of a ROCK! She was supposed to discuss 2 matters of mine with Dr. Peters & reorder a MRI & schedule a surgical consult...she did neither. I had to be proactive & get both scheduled myself, plus see my primary MD for the orders. Thank you!
