Dr. Leila C Morris, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Morris on and off for approximately 20 years depending on my insurance coverage. She is thorough and listens to her patients which is important when she makes a diagnosis. She has a Concierge practice for the last few years so I am happy to see her Physician Assistant, Natalia Harvey. She is also very thorough. You can make a visit and she orders blood work, mammogram, and reminds you of pap smear and colonoscopy visits and sends your prescriptions to your provider. What I like about Dr Morris and Natalia Harvey is that they consider so many factors when making an assessment and diagnosis. They do not push prescriptions. They look at a person's lifestyle, exercise, vitamins, and social and mental factors before making recommendations. Lastly, there has NEVER been a time when I was sick with a cold, flu, or UTI that they didn't make a provision to fit me into the schedule the same day.

First of all, the office manager has a bad attitude and overprotective of the doctor. She was also the one that suggested me to get a flu shot here in the office because "the flu shot here is better than publix," which is absolutely impossible. Second, this place scams you out of your money by billing things you did not ask for (i.e extra tests at diagnostic quest). Then when you refute, the office manager will say the Doctor recommended it for a reason. (utter b.s since I know I am healthy and I just wanted an annual preventive health test for my insurance). Absolutely do not recommend.

One hr wait for 6 mins with PA?? Why?

I was thrilled during my new patient visit with Dr Morris as I found her friendly and knowledgeable; however, at the very end of my visit I received a very quick disclaimer that in order to actually see her (the Dr.) again, I would need to join the Concierge Plan and pay close to $2k a year. If I did not choose to join this plan, I would see the PA. This was a shock and very disappointing. I would not have wasted my time going had I known this. Weeks following my appointment, I received an EOB from my insurance company showing THOUSANDS of dollars that were charged (and paid by them) for services I NEVER received. This was reported to my insurance company and after a very difficult conversation with their office (where they tried to justify the false charges) has now been reversed. I would not recommend this practice as there are several other fantastic Dr's who don't charge you extra to see them and won't falsely bill for services that were not provided.

Just by random chance, I ended up in Florida for two years. Again by chance alone, I ended up with Dr. Morris. I am 44 years old and was previously diagnosed with IBS, migraine and high cholesterol. I would have continuous cycles of IBS A-D. In the last year, I don't remember the last time I had a IBS cycle, my migraines have gone from once a week to once every 5 months and my cholesterol is under control for the first time in my adult life.

Dr. Morris has been an excellent physician for my 10 years+ with her. Unfortunately, she joined a Concierge Plan 2-3 years ago & now I can't afford her. The fee is $1800. a year, she is NOT in my network, so her 'visit' bills are $151.51 each! I'll have to find a doctor who IS in my network - can't afford Dr. Morris anymore!

Dr. Morris is unreachable after hours. The phone system does not connect you to an answering service or page the covering physician. The PA forgot to call in my prescription for an infection. I didn't realize this until after the office had closed on a Friday. I had to go to an urgent care facility to get the prescription that the PA neglected to call in.

I appreciate Dr. Morris' time she spends with me and does not make me feel rushed. However, her front office help is ridiculous. She is rude, never smiles, and acts like I am a bother when ever we have an encounter. As a register nurse myself I cannot believe that Dr. Morris or any other Dr. for that matter would keep someone like her on their staff.

I have been a patient for many years and found out how nasty and rude not only Dr Morris but her Shana and the front desk person. It makes everyone there ugly,horribly and not a place where you should go. Dr Morris does not follow up on the battery of tests she sends you to do..it is after all only YOUR life..what does she care? I can go on, but I am looking for another doctor.

DR MORRIS IS A WONDERFUL DR...ALWAYS TAKES TIME WITH YOU TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU MAY HAVE.....SHE NEVER MAKES YOU FEEL RUSHED OR THAT YOUR CONCERNS ARE NOT IMPORTANT.....I AM ALWAYS ABLE TO GET EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS. HER STAFF IS EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY SHAWNNA....THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND ALWAYS DISPLAYING A CARING ENVIROMENT!
