Dr. Linda Mary Riddick, MD

Back in 1996, I was diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism. Dr Riddick and her nurse (at the time), Cheryl, were totally devoted to my care, from 11 days old until I was 6 years old, at which time we moved. I’m now 22 and graduating college, which is due to the lifesaving work of Dr. Riddick, because otherwise, I may not have been around to reach this milestone. Thank you Dr. Riddick!

Let me just start off by saying that we will NOT be bringing our daughter back to see this doctor. I have already made calls to get our daughter another Pediatric Endocrinologist. We was extremely condescending. As far as her being a pediatric doctor I find that to be astonishing as she barely spoke to our daughter but rather about her as if she wasn't even in the room. My husband and I felt rushed through the appointment and she seemed uninterested in answering any of our questions. I would highly recommend finding a different Pediatric Endocrinologist.

I will begin by saying this doctor's level of expertise is fairly strong, however, she was very condescending toward my husband and myself right from the minute she walked into the room. She didn't take our visit seriously nor the recommendation of us being there from our pediatrician. At least not until test results came back confirming the concerns that brought us there to begin with. Then her attitude changed slightly. She also had a very poor attitude toward my mild mannered three year old child. Needless to say we have found another practice that encompasses both expertise and bedside manner.

My son met Dr. Riddick today for the first time. After a 3 hour drive into Albany and a moderate wait to see her, she spent a ton of time taking a detailed history, talking to my son, explaining everything that was going to happen, and putting our minds at ease about possible treatment options. We both look forward to seeing her again in 6 months!
