Doctor Hovenga sees my whole family. She has delivered all of my grandkids and has a great patient peaceful attitude during delivery.

I cannot begin to tell you how down to earth, understanding and kind she is ! Thoroughly explaining procedures and not rushing patients along is what keeps people going back to her! She is a top notch dr !!

I really wanted to find reasons to continue seeing Dr. Hovenga, but none really compelled me enough. I do appreciate that Dr. Hovenga was understanding of my symptoms, but wasn't very supportive of my desire to go with non-hormonal birth control, especially the Paragard IUD. I tried to state clearly that oral contraceptives were causing side effects I was not willing to tolerate, and she encouraged me to go with the Mirena, which has the same progesterone I have had trouble with all along. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
