Dr. Lisa T Newell, DO

I went there for several years. I started feeling really sick, weak on and off about the last year I seen her, she said I was lying .. she walked out on me said she wasn’t going to be my doctor no more. I needed up in Morgantown with a rare vagel tumor only 19 known .. I was number 20 that had one. They had to remove it ASAP it was living off my body and blood. They said they got it just in time or I wouldn’t of made it. Lisa had treated me for years and I was so sick. So all I got from her was I was a liar and put that in my medical records.. she left me without a doctor as sick as I was. Thank God my pastor sent me to his doctor I had a tumor for goodness sakes and was dying as she stood there telling me I wasn’t sick. I’m a strong person and have been sick with ms and vasculitis I made it all these years but when a person says something is really wrong it was. I now suffer from the aftermath where it was in my main vagel nerve in my spine and left damaged .. it was there the said… growing 2 years. Thank God she walked out and said she wouldn’t be my doctor no more it was a God sent .. if I had stayed I wouldn’t be writing this. I have suffered from the damage of the tumor because she wouldn’t believe me. But her walking out dismissing me as her patient saved my life . She is a heartless human being that doesn’t deserve treating people.. I forgave her .. but she shouldn’t be able to treat anyone.. I know other stories from others with cancer that she told them they weren’t sick. If your thinking about seeing her think twice. She isn’t a person to trust your life too. I was dying while she was calling me a liar that one horrible day in her office. That’s my story .. at one time I thought she was wonderful after seeing her for so many years till I needed her most she left me out there to die. But Morgantown saved my life .. God did too. I forgive you Lisa ...

I went to Dr. Lisa Newell to get my annual check up and to mention that I needed help for my depression and anxiety I was suffering from. I never had gotten the help for it because I had never suffered rom it this bad. I also do not like to take medicine unless I know it is needed. She basically told me it was all in my head that depression " did not exist." She was more concerned about me being over weight than my mental state. I walked out of that office that day never evalutatd for the severity of my depression and did so for two miserable years! I just think about all the suicidal patients getting untreated by doctors that think this condition does not exist! Now, that she has left access health, I have found a new doctor and the nurse was the one that discovered my panic attacks when she asked if my heart rate was always that fast. She hooked me up to do an EKG and that is when I was evaluated and treated for my depression and anxiety. I got the help I needed without asking… because Lisa said "it does not exist" I believed her. I am no longer on my medicine for it because I have learned when to get help and that it is there when I do need it. I thank my life for that nurse who helped me. As for Dr. Lisa Newell, not so much. I do not recommend her unless you need a diet plan that the insurance does not pay for.

I always have a short wait time. They have always been friendly and respectful. Dr. Newell is very informative. She always answers all of my questions. If my problem is out of her area of expertise she always refers me to a specialist. Very pleased with my family doctor.

Very rude judgmental no bedside manner whatsoever she was so cold like she didn't have a heart there is not very professional at all find another doctor
