Dr. Lisabeth Hall, MD

I really wish I would have read the reviews before making an appointment with Dr. Hall. After coming in for horrible abdominal pain, I was treated for heartburn and given a prescription for OTC medication. I later ended up in the ER with an appendicitis and an emergency appendectomy. Thank goodness for the ER staff - this lady is dangerous.

After my prior primary care physician retired, I switched to Dr. Hall. I love that she's questioned some of the prior medical decisions particularly potentially unnecessary daily medications. At the same time, she saw some test results that required further testing. I feel that she really knows me and my medical history after only two visits. She's got great bedside manner, and I look forward to many years in her care.

I have to say a word after all of these mixed and some horrible reviews (guessing some/many are written by the same person). Dr. Hall was my husband's doctor, and mine. We went initially for my 38-yr old husband and he had vague complaints of fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea, etc. She actually listened and took him seriously and ordered immediate blood work (he hated needles but she was insistent), then after reviewing the labs, ordered a follow-up CT scan that day. She was able to diagnose his stage iv colon cancer from the scan only 2 days after our initial appointment, same day as the scan. He had previously been misdiagnosed by other doctors or they hadn't listened. For what its worth, she was spot on, listened and took his symptoms seriously. He may have ended up in the ER with an obstruction or liver failure if she had not been such a good doctor.

We had a telephone visit due to covid precautions. First of all her office did not send me link to complete paperwork for my visit. Dr. Hall did not have my health record and did not begin the call with any questions except what I was being seen for. I attempted to explain that I am immune compromised with a sinus infection. She did not care but immediately want me to go somewhere else. When I asked what I could do now to get back to work. There was no answer. I thought the line was disco

Horrible doctor and horrible experience. I wish I had read the other reviews before wasting my time here. She's got some mental health problems and is very authoritarian - it's not safe to ask her questions.

If you're reading these reviews, save yourself some time and avoid this doctor. She won't help you and she may threaten you. Scary human being.

I was looking for a new doctor and heard about Lisabeth Hall. I had no problem getting an appointment and soon found out why - she's the most unhelpful, aggressive and nasty doctor I've ever been to, and it's no wonder she's got so many openings. I only wish I had read these reviews before making the appointment because I would have saved myself a lot of time and aggravation. First, Dr. Hall isn't interested in helping you. Her goal seems to be to establish her dominance over you and she'll do that by putting you in a normal chair, while she sits in a tall, barstool-like chair so she can tower over you. It's pathetic. If you've been on a medication for years, she'll argue with you about whether you need it or not. She'll demand tests and then when you ask her to schedule them, she'll tell you that you don't need them, to come see her and talk about your needs. When you stupidly do that, she'll tell you she doesn't have enough information about your condition to help you or give you a… prescription. When you remind her that you were trying to get some tests and she wouldn't order them, she'll get furious and start an argument. If you have any backbone and push back, she'll threaten you. People in other reviews said she kicked them out of the office. With me, she threatened to "fire" me as her patient. That was the last straw; when said that I told her *she* was fired and I walked out. Honestly think there's some mental illness going on her, or maybe a drug issue. What I don't understand is why they haven't fired her yet. People in her office and at Boulder Community Health (where she's affiliated) have both told me that there have been a lot of complaints about her, so it's hard to understand why she's still employed. Most doctors who refuse to provide a basic standard of care are either disciplined or fired. She needs to go.

Worst doctor in all my years of seeing doctors. There's something "off" about Dr. Hall; I couldn't put my finger on it but reading these reviews and the speculation about a substance abuse problem, it really makes me wonder if that's it. If Dr. Hall is a drug user or has some sociopathic personality disorder, it's not safe for her to see patients and Boulder Community Health is potentially putting patients in jeopardy by not handling patient complaints. I'm surprised the practice she works in keeps her on. How embarrassing it must be for them to see these reviews. However, I have zero sympathy for them because it's in their power to do something about it and they don't. Dr. Hall used to work for Spruce Street Internal Medicine in Boulder, CO and they also had problems with her when she was there. She needs to find a new career. Perhaps she could stock shelves at Costco, then she wouldn't have to deal with people.

Dr. Hall has no business being a doctor or even in the medical field. I had a terrible experience with her - a lot of unnecessary runaround. She gave me such a hard time about my medical issues; she was so antagonistic toward me that I was uncomfortable being alone in a room with her. Getting her to order blood work or write basic prescriptions was too much work and I ended up finding another doctor. I wish I had read her reviews on here before I wasted my time on her; I'm not surprised that others have had similar problems and complaints. When I spoke to the office manager, they were unhelpful so I contacted the Patient Representative at Boulder Community Health. The PR listened to me but I got the feeling that ultimately, nothing would be done about my complaints so that was another waste of time. If Dr. Hall can't provide the basic standard of care - and she doesn't - she needs to be fired and lose her medical credentials. If you're reading this before you make an appointment...find… another doctor. You deserve to have someone who will listen to you and take you seriously.

What a horrible doctor; I can't believe the practice she works in keeps her on. I wish I had read up on her ratings before seeing her, because if I had I would have saved myself a lot of trouble. Dr. Lisabeth Hall is not on the up and up - she'll play games with you, not ordering tests, giving you prescriptions, etc. until you see her multiple times. It's all an insurance scam to get you to pay for more appointments. I needed an asthma inhaler refill. I was a new patient and rather than give me the prescription (which was in my medical history that she had in front of her), she insisted that I come back for a 2nd visit to "discuss" my need for the inhaler. I thought that's what we just did. But, I came back for a 2nd visit, and she wanted blood work. But she refused to schedule me for the lab work and I came in yet again - a THIRD time to try to get what I needed. I guess I'm a slow learner because I didn't realize I was being scammed the whole time. In any case, I fired her and found… a new doctor who doesn't play games. Side note: there is something very wrong with her. She became very belligerent when I asked her some questions, like how dare I question her authority. Her anger at me for doing so was out of proportion to what we were discussing, and I've honestly never seen a doctor react that way. I spoke to a medical friend about it and they wondered if she had some kind of substance abuse problem. I don't know if she does or doesn't, but her behavior was bizarre. Stay away from her and this practice and find someone who cares about your health.
