Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or patient population, family practitioners are often the doctors that people see for their everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections, and health screenings. When necessary, family practitioners will provide referrals for conditions that require the expertise of another specialist.
The doctors may also provide physicals, inoculations, prenatal care, treat chronic diseases, like diabetes and asthma, and provide advice on disease prevention.

Dr. Carnsew takes time with her patients. She is not running a revolving door practice. I have never seen a drug rep, even after having gone to her practice for 6 years. The staff is awesome as well. Appointments average less than 15 minutes from my arrival. And after having lab work done, it is always followed up with a personal phone call, usually the day after or two days later at most. This is how a practice should be run!
I have gone to other Doctors in the upstate only to see a parade of drug salespeople stroll in and be shown into the inner sanctum immediately. This is as I wait 30-45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment to be seen. This office is truly efficient, allowing me to be seen within 15 minutes of my appointed time.
