Wonderful experience with this doctor.

I have nothing but incredibly positive things to say about Dr. Ellis. She is an amazing doctor, and I would go with nobody else for my kids!!! I find her very knowledgeable and compassionate. And my kids love her too!!!

Doctor called to indicate negative results returned from blood work. When I questioned why the specialist indicated a different result, she was adamant of her diagnosis. I pressed her for a reason for the confusion. She then reviewed the blood work again, this time revealing that the blood work indicated a positive test result ( not negative). She then indicated that these results are hard to read. No apology was given. Will never go back to this doctor.

I have seen Lori Ellis a total of three times, each time worse than the previous. She offers nothing more than the generic "guessing" diagnosis. The first time I saw her, I asked if what she claimed was a cyst could be anything else. She just continued to insist that it was "probably" a cyst, wrote a script for Zwanger, and rushed off. My second visit was one that I will not forget. We made it to the office around 10:30 for a walk-in and were not called until 11:35. Throughout this time, I had severe trouble breathing as I have asthma. Entirely unable to take a deep breath, I had issues standing and keeping my balance. We continued to wait in the exam room for another 25 minutes, and at this point I could hear and feel strong wheezing. Fed up, I demanded to just bring in any available physician as Lori was taking phone calls instead of seeing her last patient. The slow MA just grimaced and left. I did not hear her say anything to Lori but a few minutes later she finally saw me. To… summarize, she did a basic strep, said she heard no wheezing, was condescending toward my honest responses, and told me that chicken soup has medicinal properties. It was 12:15 when we left. Many years ago I remember seeing Dr Parles and my confusion when he twisted my neck to check for meningitis even when it seemed unlikely to my mom, someone who works in the medical field. It probably did not even occur to Lori to check for this because she tends to avoid any kind of hands-on testing (in my experience). This most recent visit, and my final one for sure, was a similar experience but with a far less wait time of around 15 minutes. As I found out, the "viral infection" that I had last time was only supposed to last 3-5 days. It lasted 12. My mother does not believe in the flu shot as I have never had the flu. That being said, it would make sense to test for the flu if a patient is displaying flu-like or symptoms of a serious illness like I am. The most time she spent on the exam, aside from asking for symptoms, was the discoloration that my costume jewellry earrings gave my ears. Did not test for strep or the flu. Perhaps if I had seen her in a case where I was not the last patient of the day, I would get quality care and not some halfassed attempt at rushing through to leave. I have been now running fevers off and on for a day and I am curious to see how long this "viral infection" will last. Lori Ellis is very sweet, but very young, and therefore is nowhere near an expert. If you take your child's health seriously, see a veteran physician such as Parles or Inkeles.

Dr. Ellis is the primary physician to my twin babies. My wife and I are always impressed with her expansive knowledge and sound advice, as well as her professionalism, warmth, and smile. Most importantly, my babies respond calmly and happily to her gentle, thorough, diligent, and unrushed examinations. Despite considerable expertise on issues that range from basic nutrition to advanced studies on pediatric conditions, Dr. Ellis shows no condescension. Her sensible advice and thoughtful assessments inspire confidence in us as parents, and she knows how to keep little ones calm and content.
