Dr. Lori Michele Kaler, MD

Dr. Kaler is by far the most unprofessional physician I have ever dealt with in my life. My labs were abnormal from my visit so she "tried" to call me and left me a message saying to call her back at her office. I called no more than 10 minutes later and the woman on the phone had no idea what I was talking about and accused me of lying that I even got a call from the Dr. This woman wouldn't even look up my chart or ask my name until I became assertive and insisted I got a call. I call back the next day to try to talk to the Dr, but again she's "not in the office just yet". I call another 3 hours later, still not there. Dr kaler did not return my call or try to call me back for almost 2 days after leaving a voicemail that my labs were abnormal, and as a normal person would be, I was concerned about the abnormalities and stressing out. When she did call me, she was not apologetic at all about it taking so long or that i was left out to worry and panic for this long. I expressed to her… how upsetting my experience was and how i was confused as to why i was treated like i didnt matter. She again was not apologetic and blamed it ON ME that i didnt get my results sooner because I didnt answer the phone and that I hadn't been active on the portal in a year. This woman just takes NO responsibility for her short comings. Everything would have been fine if she just said sorry and tried to console me, but no. I was treated like trash, like i was nothing to her but some money in her pocket. I was so shocked that even after expressing how upset i was that she still maintained her cold and dismissive demeanor. In the end, i just wanted to be on my way and go to another Dr. I asked her in a calm voice (even as upset as i was) if i could just get my chart/results. She asked why and I remained calm and just told her I was going to go to another doctor. No disdain or negative tone in my voice. She told me "good luck finding a doctor who meets your needs because that is not how this field works". I told her i already found another doctor (which i did), and she replies with "oh im SURE you did and good luck with that because you wont find someone who can meet your needs". I am appalled and shocked that an OB of over 20 years could act like this with a patient. Wanna know the best part? DR. KALER BIRTHED ME. She was my mother's OB and was there when she gave birth to me. DISGUSTING how she treated me now that I remained in her care for all these years after the fact. She DOES NOT care about her patients, DOES NOT take ownership for her or her staff's faults or short comings and her obnoxious ego cannot handle someone telling her she did something wrong. If you want an OB who cares about you and can take 2 minutes out of her day to talk to you about your labs, dont come here. You will be left out in the cold every time.

She's wonderful. She's very caring and clinically expert.

For my 1st appt, there was no one at the office when I arrived (on time), and I had to wait for 30min for Dr. Kaler & her staff to arrive. Another patient arrived at the same time, who had a later appt, and was seen before I was, making me late for work. When she finally came int to see me, she didn't acknowledge the delay or offer an explanation/apology. I had a sensitive issue to discuss with her, and I got the feeling she might be used to seeing women who are older than I am or already have families. I had recently graduated from college when I saw her and she seemed distant/judgmental/unsympathetic about my concerns about an STI. I had questions but she seemed ready to get out the door. Her front desk staff was really courteous & kind to me on the phone.

I have been going to Dr. Kaler for more than 16 years and have always received the most professional and thorough health care. She is an excellent physician who takes as much time as you need to receive care, advise and consultation. I have never felt that I was rushed or imposing. I have never had to wait long for my appointment and on the very rare occastion I did wait it was becaues another patient needed urgent care. Additionally, her staff is always kind, friendly and professiona. I can't say enough about the care she has given me all these years.

I have been seeing Dr. Kaler for over 5 years. She is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. The staff is incredibly warm and remembers you, even if they only see you once a year. Waiting time can be long, so I try to get the first appointment of the morning. Also, you have to book months in advance.

I've seen Dr. Kaler for the past 4-5 years for gynecologic care. Her staff has been, w/o exception, courteous and capable. While I have not had this experience, I understand that her office hours/appts may have to be rescheduled if she is delivering a baby. She's a great listener, very skillful at obtaining the information she needs, while at the same time never cutting me off mid sentence. I've spend my entire career as a physical therapist in medical settings; she's one of the warmest, most caring physicians I've encountered.

I have been going to Dr. Kaler for over 10 years. I sometimes have to wait a bit to see her but that is because it's just her. She's not part of a large practice and I like that better. When it's my turn, she takes as much time as needed to check in, and answer my questions.

Front desk staff is slow and not very inviting.
