If I could give zero stars I would. I'm 36 weeks with my first pregnancy and this was my very first time meeting Dr Atilano. She swung the door open and first thing out of her mouth was "WOW! Lets talk about this excessive weight gain! You're off the charts." My husband and I were stunned. We didn't even get a change to say "Hello" before she started verbally attacking me. I TRIED asking if the weight of the baby, placenta, fluids..etc were put into consideration and she cute me off saying "I've been a Doctor for 30+ years, see over 10 patients a day, I know what I'm talking about." We told her that we are confused because no other nurse/midwife shared any type of concern for my weight until that very moment. She looked at me and told me I'll need a csection because she's "almost sure" that I have high blood pressure and the baby is huge." She then measured and said "Oh, she's perfect... surprisingly." I shared with her that she made me feel extremely self-conscious and that I felt… fine about myself until seeing her. She said "Well, I don't know what to say.. you need to lose 1-2 pounds until the baby is here." She then suggested to my husband that he keep me on a diet. After further insults about my weight, I had to tell her 4 times that she will not be checking my cervix. Every time she asked, I said no. Every time I said no, she asked again. Finally, during my Gbs swab she said "Alright, now I'm going to check your cervix." Frustrated and defiantly feeling unheard I said "NO!! You are NOT!" She took her gloves off and was about to leave the room-Door open with my legs still in the stirrups. My husband calls her back and asks if she will be delivering our baby, she responds "Whoever is on rotation that day" and walks out. We left that appointment angry, sad, and very confused. During my pregnancy I have felt pretty good about myself until that appointment. Pregnancy changes your body in ways you don't expect it to and can be emotionally challenging. To have your doctor come in a shatter the confidence you have in a matter of a minute is wrong on all levels. I hope that no one will ever have to feel what I did.

I am 39 weeks pregnant and my regular Dr. went on vacation. I saw Dr Atilano for my 39 week appointment because of that and I had the most awful experience. Up until now I've had a delightful experience at my appointments with my Dr. She's not discussed any health concerns for me or my baby. Dr. Atilano said she had concerns I'd never heard of before and began treating me like a lab rat. She treated me like I had a high risk pregnancy when I do not. I felt extremely disrespected and bullied. She wanted to set me up for induction the next day when I hadn't even hit my 40 week date. She recommended I do stress tests 2x a week when I don't need them. I requested to see another Dr while my Dr is on vacation.

Posting this review under a pseudonym for my own privacy but this was the worst OBGYN I’ve ever seen. She absolutely exuded impatience throughout the entire visit. She didn’t want to answer questions regarding my pregnancy and actually LEFT before I was done. The nurse had to go back to retrieve her. Worse yet, when checking my cervix she gave me no warning before entering. I’ve lodged a complaint with Kaiser but i want others to know. Kaiser should offer its customers better.

The most insensitive, mean spirited, condescending, impatient, emotionless and argumentative Dr. I have encountered at Kaiser, or in a lifetime. Even her facts were wrong on her notes regarding my visit.

Doesn't take the time to explain procedures/tests and acts superior to patients. Shows no compassion to pregnant mothers who gain weight faster/more than other woman. Makes you feel extremely guilty and depressed about your weight gain even before becoming a mother. I switched doctors half way into my pregnancy due to her treatment towards me and my new doctor said I was healthy. I would highly recommend switching doctors if you were assigned her.

very heartless when it comes to patients and procedures. Doesn't take patients concerns in regards to medication reactions, all human bodies don"t function the same way.

Office was dirty.Exam was inadequate.Diagnosis was wrong.
