Dr. Louis Jacobson

I beleive the expertise and bedside manner of Dr. Jacobson saved my life. At the least he gave me a quality of life I didn't know was possible. He's kind, patient and very easy to talk to. Everything you need in a Dr. Even his office staff can't be beat. The Les Swab of offices.

I went to see Dr Jacobson and my first overall impression of him was yes he is nice and yes his staff is nice. I am not sure though about the quality of care I am getting for my pain however. It took me six months to get in to see him for my first appointment and then when I went in to see him for the first time we talked about my pain and treatments that I have had ok, par for the course. The only thing I didn't care for was that he asked me about my whole life saying that it has to do with helping me to deal with my pain issues. After I told him about growing up and everything about my life basically, he then asked me if I would read some litterature he gave me. So I said yes and then he said that if I was not 100% committed to helping to heal myself then I wouldn't ever be able to live my life pain free. He then told me that he would set me up for another appointment and that I needed to think about this and let him know how I felt the next visit. So I did as he asked and at that… point I was so much in pain that I read the litterature and decided to go along with his conditions. So the next visit we went over some more conditions and then I talked to his nurse who mentioned that they currently had like 400 other patients. Well I have been seeing him now for about a year and I have only had like 3 face to face visits with this Dr. He also olny prescribes two kinds of pain pills and he does not give you a choice for backup medication because he does not believe in it. At first I was doing great with the treatment and then I started to get really bad pain and was told to call my primary care physician. I am not sure that what is good for one person is good for every patient he has. Therefore I am sure he is a good dr but I think he should treat his patients individually with their individual symptoms in mind.
