Dr. Lubna Mirza, MD

Refuses to answer questions or return phone calls. What good is a doctor who does not manage care for patients. Especially when they are having serious concerns and issues with the medication she prescribed.

Absolutely the best doctor ever. Very concerned about her patient. I would recommend her to anyone who wants the best.

She is an excellant Dr. I went to many drs. for my thyroid problems which they didn't know how to get it in the normal range. Since seeing Dr Mirza and getting on the right meds which is 2 pills not one. I have felt alot better. She also was concerned enough about me to check my bone density and fine it was abnormal. So I take an IV medicine every year to have stronger bones. She is wonderful and caring doctor. Sherry her nurse is a great help and very friendly. I have only praise for their office!

Just a word of warning, it you see Dr. Mursa be prepared to be treated as an science experiment and if you become just a routine patient, she will pass you off to the nurse practitioner who doesn't listen to the patient and does what she wants. My experience getting refills to prescriptions is like a battle. This has happened over four times over a year. You would think that a Diabetic doctor and her nurse would make refills of insulin (newer types) a prior and not let a patent run out their meds and die!!! A person can call for a refill 10 days in advance, at least three times in that 10 day period and still can't get a refill. Also, the Pharmacy faxed request 5 times and still can't get the Doctors office to refill the Rx. Twice in one year we had to drive to the doctors office and demand a refill of my meds. The last time my husband had to come along and he talked to the clinic manager to get the refill. The nurse said we didn't get anything from us and the pharmacy but… the supervisor went to the fax machine and guess what was sitting in the machine? More than two faxes, we can't believe that nurse wasn't fired for lying to their face. The problem still continues. Watch out people, find a better doctor who cares!!!

She is the only Dr after 5-7 that has put me on the right medicine and got me feeling She is always a good listener and explains things well. Very polite Dr.

I found Dr.mirza to be friendly, concerned, and very professional. she answered many questions and listened to my concerns. I found her staff to show the same respect toward my needs. Thankful to have them for my health care needs.

Dr. Mirza's name was given to me by one of her current patients. He spoke highly of her expertise and her caring manner. I asked my primary doctor to set me up for a Diabetes II examination, which he did without hesitation. Her office was accessible and her staff was considerate and easy to talk to. Dr. Mirza was thorough in her examination and asked good, pointed questions about my health. I will ask her to continue to examine me yearly regarding her diagnosis of me being pre-diabetic.

I have seen LOTS of doctors and she ranks in my absolute worst. Reason one: She. Didn't. Ask. Questions. My medical history is long and very complicated, and she asked to explain it and why I was visiting her. Pretty standard. But she didn't ask questions when I told her that the last endocrinologist I saw was being brought up before the medical review board and that I wasn't sure of any of my previous diagnosis through him. She didn't ask for clarifications about what medication I'm allergic to, even after I mentioned complicates with previous treatment. She barely glanced at my previous blood work and prescribed me a medication that lists headache as a side effect. I have very severe migraines. When I told her that I wasn't comfortable taking a medication with head ache side effects, she ignored me and refused to change her prescription. Reason two: All of that took about 10 minutes (because of the whole not asking questions things). She then spent the rest of the… appointment trying to bully me into having gastric bypass surgery. I'm over weight, yes, but I don't even wear plus size clothes. More importantly, my blood pressure, cholesterol, and heart rate are PERFECT, and there are no fatty deposits on my organs. Gastric bypass surgery is a last resort for people whose weight is a threat to their life. It's an expensive and dangerous surgery that has a very high rate of complications, sometimes even fatal complications. Out of a 25 minutes appointment she thought that tactless asking "how long I've been big" and trying to push me into a completely unnecessary and dangerous surgery was the best way to spend the time. That, I could almost forgive. But the fact that she asked no questions (other than what my birth weight was) for a complicated and difficult to treat diagnosis is exceedingly worrisome. I would not recommend her for anyone, frankly. I suggest finding a doctor who at least takes the time to understand your medical history.

I would reccomend Dr Mirza to anyone who needs an Endocrinologist.
