Dr. Lubomira Scherschun, MD

I have been to Dr. Scherschun two times, and my husband has also seen her twice. She is unfailingly cheerful, courteous and very, very competent. We are both thrilled to have her as a dermatologist.

My husband went to see Scherschun today. She refused to see him, after he reported having pneumonia last month in the worksheet on medical history. I realize that everyone is a panic about COVID19 but you would expect a more measured approach by a trained medical professional. He had driven 30 miles to reach her office. At the very least, she should reschedule or talk to him in a more understanding way. Pneumonia, which is diagnosed by fluid in the lungs and shows up on a CT scan, is not COVID19. My husband had a recent CT scan, which was also available on the PIH portal to check. The medical office had access to all the data.

Dr. Scherschum and her office and nursing staff really are all worthy of an "excellent" rating. I have had to visit a dermatologist regularly since having melanoma cancer in 1999, and am so grateful to be their patient. I have had other cancers removed through the years and appreciate the through examinations Dr. Scherschum gives. I have given her and her staff the highest compliment---I have recommended her to friends.
