Dr. Luis E Gonzalez-Mendoza, MD

My daughter came to Baptist Hospital with a hemorrhage on her pituitary gland and they said they needed the endocrinologist to see her right away. The hospital called Dr. Gonzalez office for a day and a half. The neurosurgeon came in the morning and was surprised the endocrinologist has not been in to see a patient with this problem, especially a minor. The nurses keep calling and no response, we keep waiting. Ten hours later and still he hasn’t even responded. Not only should you avoid this doctor, he should loose his contract with Baptist if he has one.

The worst experience every time I come to this office. Completely disorganized and the wait time is over an hour with an appointment.

Patient since the age of 3 ;my daughterwith diabetes got pregnant and after having the baby the doctor didn't want to see her any more his reason was that she was an adult already,.. I don't understand how or why that should make a differences since the hospital said you could be seeing there until your 21 ??This was very difficult for my daughter we got to care for this doctor consider by our family the best out there for kids with diabetes ,He is a wonderful doctor but I guess he thinks my daughter is the only young girl who is sexually active of his patients ..Now we are still looking for an endocrinologist for my daughter ,I have gone to see some but my daughter for some reason doesn't like any ,she wants her doctor back don't know what to do she is very depressed for this ...Please if there's any one out there that can help me or tell me what can I do would appreciate your help and support??

Dr. Gonzalez-Mendoza is great as a doctor, they only problem is his staff. The receptionist is very very rude and does not have any knowledge to be working in a pediatric office. His nurse is good but do not return your calls and to get someone in the phone is a nightmare. Too sad he does not have a good office back up.

Nos that they are part ofMCH the service Is slow and MORE disorganized.

Dr. Gonzalez-Mendoza is easy going and spends time with his patients. Unfortunately, all the good in the world does not excuse that he does not return phone calls. Cannot understand how a doctor who works with children can totally ignore a parent's phone call.The office staff is usually uptight and rude. They will not think twice about yelling and hanging up on you. Their phones seem to go to the answering service quite often during office hours. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Luis Gonzalez-Mendoza is very professional and good with children.But, the staff can be very nasty when asking for prescriptions and appointments! Very sad to say.
