Dr. Luis Manuel Vinuela, MD

Does not listen to me. He does not care about me or my mental health. Steer clear of this doctor! Fifteen years and lots of money wasted with this guy!

Rude staff and of course it trickles down from the top. This doctor is a modern-day drug dealer who has absolutely no compassion for any mental health patient that may come to his office seeking help. It is a shame that he turns people away with zero empathy, humanity, or kindness all in the name of the mighty Dollar. Deep down I doubt this man is lacking anything but a conscience. And that is one of the many things money can’t buy . What goes around comes around my friends, we live in a world of duality, and everyone will have a turn!

I saw Dr. Vinuela when I was a teenager. He never diagnosed me correctly and put me on all kinds of unnecessary drugs. The last straw was on my final appointment before I refused to see him again, he told me, in his words, that I was, "F***ing disgusting," after I had divulged some very personal issues I was having. When he realized what he had said he quickly tried to recover by first saying his dog had to be put down that day and then went on an odd rant about how he was an egocentric person, just like me, and that he found a way to make it work for him. Looking back I wish I had the courage to report him to someone. I was suffering from PTSD due to abuse I had been suffering. He never once dug into my background to discover that information. Instead he treated me with heavy psychotropics meant for schizophrenic patients, which I showed no signs of. I question this man's competency as a practitioner as well as his ethics. This man should not be practicing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vinuela for a few years. I have found him to be understanding and helpful. He has answered emails I have sent between appointments when I had concerns (even if it was just telling me to call him). There have been times that I felt "small" in his office being "lectured", but those were mainly my own fault because I was not taking my medications and at the break of a psychotic episode, so it was more for my own safety.

Happy with this doctor and I do feel he is professional unlike some of the people's comments. He's also been there when I've needed him outside of normal appointment times. Very responsive.He's much better than my previous doctor.

Unfriendly attitude and extremely defensive when asked questions about medications being prescribed by him. Didn't want to spend the time to talk about patients problems/diagnosis.

Very impressed by Dr. Vinuela. He takes all the time necessary at appts. He seems to care about his patients. Highly recommend him.

I thank God that I found Dr. Vinuela and that he new that prescriptions weren't the only answers to my problem and referred me also to a psychologist. Between the two I have gone from a 2 to an 8. I'll never be a 10, but I can accept that.

Dr. V is a wonderful, caring doctor with a great sense of humor and true compassion for his patients. My husband and I are both his patients, and wouldn't have it any other way!
