Dr. Luis Ricardo Zuniga-Montes, MD

Was told to arrive 30 minutes early which I did. I was taken back on time but then had to sit and wait in a paper gown for 30 minutes. He spent little time glancing at the pages of paper I completed. When he saw I was on medication for depression and anxiety he asked me why. He then proceeded to tell me my fatigue was from my depression. I tried to explain I got depressed after being fatigued for so long after an illness. He didn’t consider the family history I gave him about autoimmune diseases and again explained to me that people who are depressed are fatigued. I felt very dismissed.

Dr. Zuniga’s staff refused to let me see him even though I was in chronic pain with my fibromyalgia flare up. I have an outstanding bill of $123 therefore Valerie stated I was in a monthly plan to avoid collections but not able to see the doctor until I was paid in full even though I had just made my payment this month towards my balance and I met my deductible. Horrible service!!! I would not recommend Dr. Zuniga or his staff to my worse enemy.. beware and stay away!!!

Dr. Zuniga-Montes has always been very professional and detailed all lab results and shared options for treatment.

Horrific. After 2 years. Out of nowhere. Dr zuniga dismissed my nephew. He has lupus and other health provlems. Unsympathetic doctor horrible personality. My nephew heard the news today. And has ptsd. Ge sstarted crying. He has been very unwell the past month. And his staff, are unprofessional and gossip way too much about patients I observed that when taking him to this Doctor office. Violated HIPPA privacy. Now here we go searching for a better doctor. Just because a person has lupus doesnt mean you have the right to treat them as a second class patient! Goodbye thank God and just right before Easter. Thanks. He is already in a lupus flare. Good riddance. This doctor is just in it for the money.

The office staff was professional and friendly. I waited 1 1/2 hours. When I met Dr. Zuniga, he was not very friendly. He was curt and said very little to me. I tried to make friendly conversation and he made not attempts to be friendlier. He had minimal bedside manner. I am not sure what the problem was. He was running late and seemed irritated. He would not explain anything. Just wanted to make the appt quick. Very disappointed.

I went to Dr. Zuniga Montes after becoming very ill and my PCP having run blood work that showed a positive ANA. I went to him and he immediately said I did not have lupus that I had fibromyalgia and put me on one medicine. I was not getting better and he refused to do anything else. I researched and found another rheumatologist and she diagnosed me with lupus and fibro. Now with receiving treatment for both I am able to get up out of bed and return to work part time. Dr. Zuniga-Montes doesn't listen and talks down to you. I am an extremely educated person (Ph.D.) and he made me feel like an idiot every time I saw him. Do not waste your time here!!
