Dr. Luminita Marinescu, MD

I had an appointment for a lymph node biopsy with Dr Marinescu based on physical findings. Prior to the procedure, she explained not only the benefits and limitations of FNA for this particular case, but the risk profile and what to expect and be concerned about after the procedure. After quite some time discussing my history as well as her careful physical evaluation of the mass to be biopsied, she concluded that it would be more prudent long-term to evaluate with imaging prior to disrupting the mass with needle. She took time to listen to my concerns and personal observations, and truly exemplified what a pathologist should be. She was meticulous, thorough and cautious, but equally personable and caring. She took her time to educate me. As a nervous patient, fearful of suspected malignancy, I deeply appreciated her balance of methodical process and friendly bedside manner. Will seek her out in the future.
